There are tons of rumors swirling around these parts. Trades for a QB, trading up, trading down, etc...

Which of these scenarios would you most like to see come draft day?

i think i would go with brady quinn for a 2nd rounder.
keep the first and either trade down with someone else, or trade it for boldin/edwards.

i don't want to trade up for sanchez but if they did i wouldn't hate them for it either. the next 48 hrs sure are exciting.

I think the Jets will trade up and get Mark Sanchez. Its time for the Jets to get their Franchise QB and they know that. With the new stadium coming, I don't see them messing around with long QB battles in future offseasons, done that and it has never worked...

That would be stupid. I like Raji, but we have Jenkins, a formidable force inside. I'm not giving up any extra picks to pick a position that isn't a dire need. If this were last year's draft, and we didn't have Jenkins, I would do it, but not this year, no way.

    Deeeeeefense...

It's anyones guess at this point as to what they will end up doing. I'm sure Tanny is sizing up every little opportunity. I won't be surprised if they grab for a QB option. I'm not sold that they think Clemens is wonderful.

I'm not a draft guy at all so I don't know what is out there, but I would expect that if something of value doesn't materialize out of a trade that we end up targeting a DE or a DT.

Trading down in the first round, somewhere between 23-28, and acquiring an early 3rd or a 2010 2nd.

Drafting Freeman would force me to go into depression knowing we will not succeed for atleast 5 more years.

If we had stockpiled picks like New England does, then trading up for Sanchez is a no-brainer. But, with what we have, I think we have too many gaps to afford trading away half our picks to get someone who will likely ride the bench for a year.

How about trade down in the 1st pick up an extra #2. Draft Pettigrew or Britt, trade one #2 to Cleveland for Quinn and with the other take Iglesias or Shonn Green? To get a #2 in that deal we would have to trade pretty far back...Giants maybe?

id deal a #2 for quinn, and then deal for boldin with r first and a pick next yr

draft picks r overrated and boldin and quinn r better then anything we can get in the those picks anyway

The way our defense disappeared the moment Jenkins started racking up injuries makes DT depth a dire need to me. Rex can talk some shit about making his defense non-dependent on Jenkins, but there's a reason defenses hinge on the nose tackle. Raji would give us a rotation that could keep the defense pushing into the post-season. Even if we had made the playoffs in 2008, you're not going anywhere without a healthy starting nose tackle.

IMO the best scenario would be to trade down a few spots and pick either a Rb in Moreno or Brown, or then pick a TE, Pettigrew. This way we fill a need position and get more picks

and whos to say Ryan wouldnt put Raji and Jenkins on the line at the same time. Ellis, Jenkins, and Raji would be an unstoppable force. not to mention the depth Raji would give our dline.

IMO hes the best NT prospect since Wilfork.
