It's kind of funny to think about a QB controversy deciding among Clemens, Ratliff, and Ainge. I usually think of a QB controversy being something like you have a good starter who goes down for a while, then his backup performs well enough to raise a question as to which of two good starters should play when the original QB comes back.

Here, we have three very unproven players (I personally favor Clemens as of now since we've at least seen some of what he can do). Perhaps this is semantics, but I think we have a QB competition more than a controversy.

a 'real' qb controversy means you cant decide which qb to start because they all are good.

our qb controversy means you cant decide which qb to start because they all suck.

    leave it to beaver.

At least the first post made me smile, the rest of this QB stuff is getting a tad boring. I hope we have the man on the staff, if not then I guess Ryan will get his man (he's been pretty good at that so far it seems). Either way, in about an hour and a half at least we can talk about the schedule. Here's to a home fixture on the 25th October so I can come over and watch it (the following week I will be abusing Pats at Wembley).

They had a capable QB last year when they had Pennington. They really felt that treating Chad like they did, and bringing in Favre was the answer...oh why bother...that is dead...the Jets screwed themselves for years to come just to have Favre's face on the PSLs. They really thought Chad was not adequate with 3 new Pro bowl linemen and Keller. How did Favre and that "gunslinger" arm look this year? Pretty bad. Same ole' Jets. Pennington made the playoffs with literally half the talent in front of him. The Jets would have gone 12-4 with Chad last year with all other players staying the same, but they just had to go get Favre, who was obviously finished. Only the Jets.
