i would like to see Leinart* in green in white. most realistically, i thiink it will be dbrickishaw. my personal favorites would be young or davis, but leinart is definitley a possibility and could inject a winning attitude into the offense that it dearly lacks.

Leinhart must be a fan favorite because nobody ever talks about Leinart...

Why do people continually spell his name wrong. It's LEINART!!! There is no freaking "H" in his name...

I don't know what sporting news you are looking at but here is the latest from their web site:

    1. Houston Texans -- Reggie Bush, RB. Mario Williams, you say? The Texans are trying to create negotiating leverage with Bush and entice other teams to trade up for the top spot.

    2. New Orleans Saints -- Mario Williams, DE. The Saints ideally would trade down, but that doesn't appear probable. They won't take QB Matt Leinart, though.

    3. Tennessee Titans -- Matt Leinart, QB. It is unlikely the Titans would give Vince Young to offensive coordinator Norm Chow instead of the quarterback he coached at Southern Cal.

    4. New York Jets -- D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT. A quarterback can't be ruled out here. Another possibility is a trade down to the No. 10 to No. 12 range.

    5. Green Bay Packers -- A.J. Hawk, OLB. This is the perfect pick for Green Bay. Hawk was born to wear green and gold.

    6. San Francisco 49ers -- Vernon Davis, TE. The Niners must give second-year quarterback Alex Smith some dynamic playmakers.

    7. Oakland Raiders -- Vince Young, QB. Raiders officials like quarterback Andrew Walter, their third-round pick last year, so cornerback/safety Jimmy Williams is a dark horse possibility here.

    8. Buffalo Bills -- Broderick Bunkley, DT. Buffalo is a bit of a wild card, because the team has a number of needs. Can the Bills pass up QB Jay Cutler? Safety Michael Huff also is in the picture.

    9. Detroit Lions -- Ernie Sims, OLB. The popular pick is Huff, and he can't be ruled out. But Sims might be a better fit for the Lions' blueprint.

    10. Arizona Cardinals -- Winston Justice, OT. This team and offensive line problems go together like the desert and sand. Justice can help.

    11. St. Louis Rams -- Michael Huff, S. The Rams would be thrilled if Huff lasted this long. If not, they might have to settle for Williams or Bunkley. There is some talk the Rams could go for a quarterback.

    12. Cleveland Browns -- Haloti Ngata, NT. It's clear this team needs help in the front seven. If Bunkley still is on the board, he could be the choice.

    13. Baltimore Ravens -- Jonathan Joseph, CB. He could provide immediate help as a nickel back. Don't discount RB Laurence Maroney. A trade down is possible.

    14. Philadelphia Eagles -- Santonio Holmes, WR. The word is the Eagles would like to trade up for Justice or Ngata. If not, a wide receiver makes sense.

    15. Denver Broncos -- Manny Lawson, OLB/DE. The Broncos also could go for a running back, such as Maroney or DeAngelo Williams.

    16. Miami Dolphins -- Donte Whitner, S. He has visited the team twice, which is unheard of. It's time for Miami to get some good young defenders.

    17. Minnesota Vikings -- Jay Cutler, QB. Many suspect the Vikings will trade up to get Cutler. If they trade up, though, it won't be for a quarterback. A wide receiver or linebacker also is possible.

    18. Dallas Cowboys -- Kamerion Wimbley, DE. A young wide receiver would make sense, but there might not be one worthy of the No. 18 pick.

    19. San Diego Chargers -- Jimmy Williams, CB/S. If this team doesn't take a cornerback on Day 1, it will be a major surprise.

    20. Kansas City Chiefs -- Antonio Cromartie, CB. The defensive rebuilding continues, but the Chiefs also could use some reinforcements for a rapidly aging offense.

    21. New England Patriots -- Richard Marshall, CB. Coach Bill Belichick has learned repeatedly that he can't have enough defensive backs.

    22. San Francisco 49ers -- Bobby Carpenter, OLB. If the 49ers help their offense at No. 6, they must help their defense here.

    23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Nick Mangold, C. Coach Jon Gruden keeps trying to get it right on the offensive line.

    24. Cincinnati Bengals -- Jason Allen, S. The Bengals figure to go defense and also could take a cornerback or a pass rusher.

    25. New York Giants -- Chad Jackson, WR. The signing of OLB LaVar Arrington frees up the Giants to draft a player at another position.

    26. Chicago Bears -- John McCargo, DT. They could go for a linebacker, such as Carpenter, but this team never has too many defensive linemen. The most likely scenario is the Bears will trade down.

    27. Carolina Panthers -- Laurence Maroney, RB. A linebacker is a possibility, but running the ball is central to the Panthers.

    28. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Chad Greenway, OLB. The Jaguars would have a hard time passing on Allen, if available. They also like TE Marcedes Lewis.

    29. New York Jets -- DeAngelo Williams, RB. At some point, the Jets have to come up with a successor to Curtis Martin.

    30. Indianapolis Colts -- Thomas Howard, OLB. Losing Edgerrin James and David Thorton gave the Colts holes at running back and linebacker.

    31. Seattle Seahawks -- Tye Hill, CB. The Seahawks must draft more than one defensive back, and there is depth in the early rounds. A trade down is possible.

    32. Pittsburgh Steelers -- Greg Jennings, WR. The Steelers could use a receiver, and Jennings might be the closest thing to Hines Ward in the draft.

again, the no. 29 pick becomes a huge test for our FO, if these RB's are on the board. Also, Tangini has led-on nothing to the general public about who they crave. L.Maroney, D.Williams, J.Addai and LenDale White...hmmm

I feel the same but instead of Davis I see Mario, somehow, finding his way down to us. If we trade out I see Cutler in our future. Then Mangold. If we do the Brick think at 4 I think a RB next, Williams or White if they are there. If not then I don't know.

Why does it matter how a person spells someones name? I would understand if he was on the jets but he isnt so stop flipping out on spelling a name!
