    My point was...

    A. I don't think Mario is available at 5

    B. If Mario is available when we are on the clock we would take him instead of trading down.

I guess it is 6 one way and half a dozen another but they need playmakers on defense as well as offense and after loosing Peterson to the Seahawks they have a huge hole at LB. Either way we get a player with great potential at 7.

That's "if" we trade with Oakland - these, "what if" scenarios get confusing after a while.

well we'll see, he did pick the jets for the superbowl this year, in 2004. maybe we need both? I wouldn't mine the croyle pick, but Cutler to me has bust written all over him. That being said I would take a chance on him with our 29th pick, possibly.

    2000 draft

That draft should have set us up for a long while. We had four picks in the 1st round. What did it really get us? One decent DE. Damn, thats depressing.

 Are you mad??? 3 QB's with the first 4 picks??? 3 QB's in one single draft is ridiculous. Un-freakin' believable

    1. D'Brickashaw if he's there. If not Vernon Davis ( I can't imagine that neither Hawk, Ferguson AND Davis would not be there at 7)
    2. Nick Mangold
    3. Gabe Watson
    4. Brodie Croyle

    7. Ferguson or Davis in that order. One of them will be there.
    29. LenDale White. He will not get past the Steelers at 32 and I for one do not want to watch him playing smashmouth football in Pittsburgh over the next few years as Curtis fades away.
    35. Mangold. Yeah he'll still be there.
    38. Watson. Another project on the defensive line. That makes 3 guys (Thomas, D-Rob and now Watson) that were crapshoots and remain uncertain. Hopefully Mangini can get these guys moving, because if not it's going to be ugly to watch.
