to #4. 49ers offer the #6 and #22. Do you take it? Or is it a slam dunk pick and all offers are off the table.

Well since he wouldn't fall to #4, I don't think it is worth discussing.

If he falls to #2, I think San Fran will make a call to NO and try and work out a trade up...

if? yea....I think there is a better chance that his last year was considered unelgible, making him not availble then him dropping. But if he somehow did I would have to take him. on another note of drafts, with all this draft talk...nfldraftcountdown's new mock has something interesting to say about the jets.

Perhaps no team has been the topic of as many rumors in regards to the draft as the Jets in recent months, who at one time or another have been linked to just about everyone from Jay Cutler to A.J. Hawk. The key however is to sort through all the misinformation and in the end I think D'Brickashaw Ferguson will be their choice. An outstanding athlete for the position, Ferguson has everything you look for in a franchise left tackle and deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as guys like Tony Boselli, Jon Ogden and Orlando Pace. With Jason Fabini gone the team is left with Adrian Jones and Marko Cavka as their starting bookends, who are both former second day picks and still very raw, so bringing in Ferguson to anchor the offensive line for the next decade or so would make a whole lot of sense. With the restructuring of Chad Pennington's contract and the trade for Patrick Ramsey it would appear that quarterback is no longer an option here, but as we all know looks can be deceiving. It is not out of the question that they could still trade up to #2 for Leinart but there is a chance they won't even take him if he is available at #4 as well and you can't even rule out them moving down and grabbing Jay Cutler a little later either. If they stay here though Ferguson is the happy medium where talent meets need and would be a safe pick that they really couldn't go wrong with. There will continue to be heavy doses of speculation, gossip and innuendo surrounding this pick right up to the last minute though because not only is that the New York way but the team isn't tipping their hand at all.

Let me ask you a question - do you think the Jets draft room has prepared a scenario where Bush falls to them and if so, do you think they have a contingency plan? I'll give you a hint - yes.

Do teams with the #1 pick generally have a pre-draft negotiation with the coveted everyone's #1 choice? I generally remember that to be the usual scenario in order to avoid any major contract obstacles. Curious, because I don't get the sense that the Texans are doing that.

They have been negotiating, but it's still early, and I'm sure they'd like to explore any trade options too.

It's very unlikely Bush falls past 1, and 0% chance he falls to 4. If he did though, you take him unless you are blown away by an offer.

Because noone on this board works for any nfl team, everything that becomes a topic here about the draft is nothing BUT pure speculation. We're ALL guessing. Even the "professionals" (Kiper etc). Why? Cause we aren't on the payroll. NO ONE KNOWS!!!! Predicting a draft in ANY WAY is completely POINTLESS.

If Team#2 takes this guy, do you do this? if Player A falls to here do you do that? What's the point of discussing ANY of this? We'll find out Saturday. In the meantime.... LET IT GO!!!!!

The only official bust Olineman I can think of recently is Mike Williams...

Robert Gallery is still very young and should get better.

yes apparently they have already made or have been trying to make offers to bush and williams. as you could see I said earlier that we should take him, i think everyone here knows that bush is the best player availble in the draft, no question, the jets already had him come in for a visit, so if he happens to fall to them. and everybody knows we would have no choice, but to take him. we need a runningback somewhere on the first day.

well thats not mine...nfldraftcountdown... and obviously mike williams helps prove that wrong. generally speakign though, lineman overall are generally a safer pick than most positions though.

This has to be the craziest thing I ever heard of. You can't even have this discussion because if there was some crazy way that Bush fell all the way to # 4, there would be no questions about anything...Jets would take him in a heartbeat without even thinking one second...
But....there is absolutely NO WAY that Bush is falling to # 4...He won't even fall to # 2 , let alone # 4....
