I don't know how Clemens or Ratliff isn't higher. With all the posters jerking off Cutler, wouldn't you want a QB who's better than him?

Well I voted 10+ wins because that would give us a really good chance @ making the playoffs. Cutler had a strong year and made the pro-bowl but the Broncos still missed the playoffs.

I could care less if Kellen has more production than Cutler because the Jets may be a smash-mouth, grind it out, control the clock type of offense behind our O-Line and running game. Cutler and the Bears may throw the ball 30+ times so I wouldn't be suprised if Cutler threw for more TD's and more yards because something tells me that he will also throw more Int's and take more sacks than Kellen here in 09.

All I know is this, if the Jets win 10+ games Kellen must have done something right and thats all I'm asking for...A trip to the playoffs and then anything can happen from there.

When Gholston gets his first sack, I'll get pretty pumped up watching the game with my older bro. If Gholston can turn into a suggs type of pass rusher...Our D can be really good

If we got 10+ wins looking at our schedule that means both Gholston and our QB are productive :p.... seriously I think I'd want a Gholston to be productive...

Assuming that all three come true, I chose the first. If our current QB's are able to have that kind of production, it will translate in to a whole team effort. If Gholston gets a sack on the first snap it could still be his only one.

Also, if we get 10 wins it will have to be done with our QB being productive, and doesn't mean Gholston's 1 sack would have any bearing.

So the obvious choice would be the first. JMO

Why? Cutler is in his 1st year under a brand new system...I could see him throwing more INT's than TD's this year and the Bears O-Line is looking like garbage as of right now.

I cant believe people are acting like Cutler is going to step right into the Windy City and put up All-Pro types of Numbers.

Can he do it? Yeah...Will he do it? Prolly not.

I was a huge fan of Vernon when he was at OHIO STATE, I loved the pick at number 6 to get Vernon but everyone knows that he didnt pan out to well this season. But im not going to say he was a bust just yet, because guys it was only one year under a crappy defense with Bob Sutton runnign the show. I think he is going to have a great season under Rex Ryan. Look at Mario Williams, everyone was saying look how foolish the Texans are for picking him at number one after his first season, and now look at him

I agree, it's hard to call Vernon a bust when he was an amazing DE @ Ohio State, then got switched to a new position (OLB) with the Jets...One would think that there would be a learning curve involved. I'm not saying that VG was innocent with his lack of production but I feel Mangini had him trying to "Read and React" @ a new position that he knew nothing about...If anything, Mangini should have let him pin his ears back and rush the QB with with FIRE.

One thing about Rex Ryan, he brings the best talent out of young players potential and if he cant turn VG into a Suggs type of pass rusher...No1 can

This is ridiculously simple, finding our own young franchise QB, the hardest position to fill as has been pointed out ten million times over the last offseason, finding that one in ten guy on our team should fire anyone up.

nothing is better than starting something off with a bang, like that time chad morton returned the opening kickoff, a big sack right off the bat and something is getting broke in my house.

Off season threads get worse as we get farther into the off season.

10+ wins with our schedule next year and current QB situation would be awesome, so I voted that.

I was gonna vote 10 win season, but we've had those before with no real long term success to follow. Clemens/Ratliff outperforming Cutler (who I expect to have a good season) would indicate our future will have several 10+ win seasons.

    Def #3

I want to see our QB do well and we all The Ghost to show up.

However, none of it matters if it doesent translate to wins!

i think gholston success is more integral to our success... we don't need clemens to be a stud... just truck along and don't be dumb... if gholston proves he isn't a bust he has a very high ceiling
