No, let's just go with our guys. If they flame out we'll be in position to draft a QB next year anyway.

I don't want any of this year's QBs at any draft position, not even as UDFA. We will never know what we have in our current players if they never get a chance to play. Sanchez is not a better pro prospect than KC was leaving college. Freeman is not a better prospect than Brett Ratliff was. Freeman has height, arm strength and good, but not great speed. Last time I checked Ratliff has all that too. If Stafford was in next's years draft all this hype surrounding him would dissapear. Let's give our current QBs a chance to show what they have and if they suck next year's QBs will be better anyway.

Ratliff wasn't even drafted, Freeman will likely be a first round pick. Freeman is Dan Marino compared to Ratliff coming out of college.

Sanchez might be a top 5 pick in the draft with experience in a pro style offense while Clemens was a second round pick coming out of a spread offense that never translates to the pros. There is no comparison as far as potential goes between Sanchez and Clemens.

Stafford and most likely Sanchez would most likely still be top 2 at worst top 3 Qbs in next years draft. Everyone talks about next years QB draft and I just don't see it. If Bradford came out this year it would have been a toss up between the 3 QBs all coming out after their junior years. Next year wouldn't have been any different and Bradford was the only one of the three that doesn't play in a pro style offense. I don't believe Tebow or McCoy are legit NFL prospects.

I would rather sign Michael Vick than draft Sanchez. Anyway, I don't see him going any lower than Frisco.

I hear he's a whiny bitch who he's teammates can't stand. Pass even if he falls to us in the third round. And please tell me what this guy has proved?

You guys always leave out Josh Freeman out of Kansas State. He is more NFL ready than Mark Sanchez. Josh Freeman is 6-6 250, and has the strength and tools to be our franchise QB

How many playoff games has he won? None of these guys are NFL ready they may have NFL skills but they need to be developed and that takes a talented staff willing to take it's lumps.

Farve was a stop gap hope to catch lightning in a bottle qb, not a franchise QB at 39 years old. If he was even decent last year we win the division easily. I'm amazed what little regard Jets fans have for the QB position. I guess so many years of having crap at the position they don't know what its like to have a good one. We have the worst QB situation in the league and will miss the playoffs next year because of it.

We may have the most unkown QB situation in the league but the worst? Have you looked around the league lately?

While there's some rumors of JAX going QB, I only see it if Stafford is there. At the moment their best WR is Dennis Northcutt :eek:hmy:

I voted no, let the guys we have get a shot to start. If they are all looking bad in camp pick a vet up for the season.

IMO in keeping with Ryan's philosophy the Jets should draft either a RB or a WR.

It might be a good idea to trade down to get more picks! We need better back-up players on both the OL & DL.

Glad to see Jets faithful understand that Sanchez wouldn't be the right fit.

Pedestrian arm, All-Americans at USC, best coach in college football...Yup.

Yes there are some bad QB situations throughout the league but I don't see any that are worse then the Jets situation. Some of them may be on par but their is not one team in the league that has less than 7 starts combined from their 3 QBs.

If the FO and CS has no faith in our Qbs, why should we?

That he can pilot the USC offense almost flawlessly? He didn't do anything wrong this year on the field and he absolutely dismantled Penn State in the bowl game. You know how often Joe Paterno's teams have gotten dismantled in a big game? I think the answer is never. Until they ran into Sanchez and USC.

Sanchez is light years away from the ability of a Namath. At best, Sanchez will amount to an average QB; not franchise material.

Granted, I would say we do not have a franchise QB on the team right now, until proven otherwise. Given a chance, I think things may work out OK.

I think we are far better off with the guys in here right now because they know the system and are not starting from scratch. One out of our 3 will be able to step up. I am confident on that. I am not saying we have a HOFer on the team, but I think we have somebody on the team that if given a very good defense behind them, we will be able to win with.

As far as playoffs, to quote from a former Saints coach, "Playoffs, you wanna talk about Playoffs!; Playoffs! Playoffs!"

It will be a tough and well-earned road for the Jets this coming year even if we did have a franchise QB on the team.

Are you kidding me??? You really think that there are a lot of teams with worse QB situations than the Jets? Please let me know which teams are worse off than the Jets.

I can assure you that's not the case. He's one hell of a kid and has dealt with his problems with maturity and patience. And I haven't seen many star athletes stay as grounded as he has. I'm not a fan of taking Sanchez, but it's because I'd like to see what we have in our 3 current unproven QBs and haven't seen enough on the field to make me think he's a safe bet in the 1st round. His personality has nothing to do with it.
