    29. Jets VINCE YOUNG

Before u guys scream at me at me and say it would never happen, think about :shit: Therefore let me explain to to u why this could happen and something the jets should be prepared for. NOBODY thought that Aaron Rodgers would go from being the overall # 1 to #24 at the packers. similar to Vince Young after the rose bowl alot of people if not everybody thought that Vince Young would go to houston to play for his hometown and David Carr would be on his way out.BUt :shit: ,the wonderlic scores, David Carr getting his roster bonus, Leinert and his relations with Norm Chow and Cutler having a great workout and impressing everbody with his Brett Farve like arm strenth.

Al Davis is a dumbass sometimes and might take Cutler hell he might not even take a qb and be alright aaron Brooks as their qb.

The Cardinals are the key to this if they are comfortable with warner which they should be and realize the bigger need is related to a defensive position a cb or S alongside wilson and rolle in the secondary, Jimmy Williams has been rising lately after sliping and he could be chosen for the cardinals at 10.

Minnesota just got rid of all-pro qb for a 2nd, would it be really likely if they take one in the 1st even though they have so many other needs lb, s ,cb and rb.I wouldnt be shocked if they did that.

So that leaves us the only other team with a need at Qb, if we didnt take Vince Young with this pick I seriously would quit being a jet fan and and root for someone else. Just think about it would it really be that strange if it happened. It happened last year why not again.

Im not saying it will happen im just saying, u should be ready if it did.

I honeestly think there is no possible way the young slips past raiders at 7, not a chance in hell he falls to the 29th in the draft.

This is different...Young is a much higher rated prospect than Leinart and there are more teams in need of a QB this year.

the difference is that Rodgers was never an elite QB prospect, just he was the best, him and Alex Smith, so it was either number one or slip way down til someone decides they can't pass on you no matter what their needs. While yes, Favre is old and they needed a replacement, I'm not sure they really wanted Rodgers...

Yes, a week before the draft many people had Rodgers falling out of the top 20. But Young is different. He might free fall but it is highly unlikely he will fall past the Vikings at 17.

Ok but Rodgers at a time was going to be the #1 overall on almost everybodys board and there were teams that needed qbs Miami,Cleveland, tampa bay before chris simms proved to everbodyu he could be good, arizona, washington wjo lated drafted Campbell, and baltimore thats 6 teams that passed on him thats half the teams that could pass on Young after the 3rd.

no chance, I think the Vikings drool over themselves at #17, I also think you reach a point where a team starts to trade up or a team with a veteran QB (Chiefs?) takes his as the QB of the future.

Im not saying that Vince Young will be ajet at 29 , as a matter of fact is see him going to 3 at the titans and if not there he goes to the Raiders, im just saying weider things have happened us passing on Marino in 83 , us passing on sapp in 95 for Kyle Brady.

Rodgers is not 1/2 the prospect that Young is at the moment.. that being said.. Arizona & Baltimore would grab him..

I'll say this: if Young somehow makes it past Minnesota at #17 (itself mind-boggling) we should immediately trade up from #29 to go get him.

there's no way young will fall past the cardinals or even the vikings. Cardinals need a young qb, and with their plethera of wide outs, they wont pass on the playmaking young.

The only way he drops out of the top 10 is if he starts driving around with Houston.
