For what it's worth,I've seen the proposed 3 way trade rumour between Oakland,New Orleans and the Jets/Titans now coming from a different website(can't post a link i'm afraid). It's basicly the same as what has been said on JI,it comes from a pretty reliable guy who has sources............and.............doesn't type...............like this.

Feel free to ignore this or go poppie in your pants with excitement,i'm just posting what i've seen.

i would love to move down to #7...especially for porter and a pick
bpa at 7...dbrick/hawk/davis would be sweet
makes more sense than the re-trading with the saints again that the last one had
i would like to see this rumor happen..resisted from posting on the last thread

It's tough Would love to have Williams. but a couple of extra picks would be great .. A little of the subject but why do we seem to like to trade with the Raiders??

    Oh yeah lets go Rangers!!

I was looking at the draft value chart and i tried to figure out a trade that makes sense and I came up with:

    Jets trade #4 (1800), #35 (550), and #71 (235) to Saints for #2 (2600)

Then Jet's trade #2 (2600) and maybe next years third for #7 (1500), #38 (520), and 1st Round pick next year

Saints get their man in Williams (pay him less money) and add a 2nd round

    Oakland gets Leinart

Jet's move down 3 spots in 2nd round, but get a first pick next year which probably wouldn't be any higher than maybe 15, and pay whoever they get (probably D-brick or V. Davis) significantly less money.

Tell me guys what you think about this scenario.

We do it b/c we get a first round pick next year. If we really don't want Leinart and we want D-brick there is no reason not to move down.

heard this from a broncos friend...The Raiders are rumored to be giving up the #7 and #69 and Jerry Porter to the Titans for #3 to purportedly draft Leinart

It sound a little schetchy but at that spot if we can still get Young or Cutler then I would do it and we would have a beastly receiving core even though its already good it never hurts to upgrade.

I think he was saying if we got Porter in the deal, we'd be set.

That has Porter being worth a mid 2nd-rounder, which probably overstates his value - the guy hasn't had a 1,000 yard season yet, and he's signed to a big contract. JMac was traded for a 2nd rounder after a season simliar to Porter's 2004 campaign, but JMac was still playing out his rookie deal.

But I don't believe the Raiders want Leinert... I think they want Young, and will trade with us to get him on draft day.

Draft value chart aside, we'd be giving too much to the Saints to move up 2 spots. If #35 doesn't do it that can piss off and spend the extra cash for their guy, and we'll take who we want at 4. We're better off just asking the Raiders for #7, #38 and Jerry Porter for our #4 and maybe a 2nd day pick to even out the deal.

    1 - Bush - Texans
    2 - Furgeson - Saints
    3 - Leinart - Titans
    4 - Young - Raiders
    5 - Williams - Packers
    6 - Davis - 49ers
    7 - Hawk/Ngata/Justice/Cutler - Jets

And we would still have the #29, #35, #38, #71, and #97 on day one, as well as Jerry Porter.

    7 - Hawk - LB
    29 - Winston - RT
    35 - Watson - NT
    38 - White - RB
    71 - Eslinger - OC
    97 - Martin - QB

5 ofthose 6 guys could conceivably be day one starters.
