Love Donald Brown, in the GG interactive mock, Jabba got the steal of either round with Maclin and 17 and Brown at 52. Would absolutely love to have Brown fall to 52. Personally I would rather drop down to the mid twenties, pick up an extra pick or two, and then promptly snag up Gilbert. It appears that his stock while rising, isnt likely to crack the top twenty.

UCONN is an extremely legit program considering their location and talent pipelines. they play very fundamental football and Brown is a solid back. although Moreno lacks the dazzling 40 time its not always about straight line speed. i think the jets already have a hard nose runner in Jones who is more similar to Brown. the three headed monster of Jones/Washington/Moreno would help Clemens develop. i really cant say enough about Washington he is basically a Sproles clone and Ryan should give him at least 15 touches a game.

I love this kid. Great news!

  7. Great option at # 17 if he is best player available.

I like Brown but I'm more of a Shonn Greene fan. He could be a nice power back to complement Leon.

Pilly will get him for the Brown wings.

  11. His stock is climbing dramatically...and if there is a run on QB's,OT's,WR'S and pass rushers...he could be a realistic option at # 17.

Connecticut has a lot of talent, i mean high school, not college.....we just get no respect.....uconn is as bad as it is because they dont recruit instate.....if they did, they would be better than any other big east team....i may sound biased cause i played football in CT but dont underestimate ct, it's not as flashy as florida but i guarentee CT has better technique which is just as, if not more important then talent

I don't know much about this guy, but I agree with the idea that the Jets need a thumper to spell Jones and Washington, with the hopes that whoever the player is he can replace Jones in a year or two.

UCONN football is not bad. They are a program on the way up. This year they ran out of steam down the stretch but they are going to compete in the Big East for a long time to come. THey have 3 first round possible players this year (Brown, Beatty and Butler)

My man, if we could get Gilbert and then Brown in the second, I'd be humping my couch!

They are both versatile, well rounded, and seem to me to have that certain football intangible.
That said, i'd be real happy to pull down 1 of them. i don't think Brown will be there in second for exact reasons i mention above...... so my couch can breathe easy......for now.
