I haven't really kept my eye on this position but are there any good DT in this draft worth looking at to be the back up of Jenkins? Any input?

Raji from BC will be gone early but Ron Brace (also from BC) should be available in the 2nd or maybe 3rd round. He's 6'3", 330 lbs. Brace could be a real good nose tackle. Peria Jerry (Ole Miss) will be around late 1st round but he seems better suited for a 4-3. I would be happy to see Brace taken by the Jets.

I'd like to see us take Brace in the 2nd/3rd.

So brace could be taken in the 2nd or third round. He has a great size and weight. did some reading on him and he looks like he has really good potential to clog the hole up with his strength

Dorell Scott is beginning to peak my interest... he's a guy that never leaves a job unfinished and hates himself when he does... he's also a pure and prideful leader.

    3rd round pick.

I'd like Brace, but only if we could move up from the 3rd round. I think our 2nd rounder has to be a RB unless Gilbert falls there.

I'm still hoping we go WR/DL/OL in the first 3 rounds.

Back-up NT is a HUGE need. Didn't you notice the drop-off on defense when Jenkins got injured/fatigued? You can't have a guy the size of Jenkins playing 3 downs every series for 16 games. Pouha sucks. And if you don't want to have a major dropoff in production everytime Jenkins isn't on the field, you need to have a quality back-up.

I think he will be a great pickup 3rd or 4th round for us.

Did you notice the marked drop-off in performance when Jenkins wasn't playing last year, whether due to fatigue or injury?

His replacements were non-factors and it impacted the entire D.

A backup NT has to be nearly as good as the starter- it's that important.

In the mid-later rounds is when we could look NT if at all. How about these guys.

    Terrence Taylor | Michigan
    Roy Miller | Texas

I'm impressed that there has been some talk about Dorell Scott. He would need to gain 10-20 pounds to play nose tackle, but he is a heck of a player and has a great work ethic.

To short need to be a little bigger to be a NT. At least 6'2 better yet 6'4.

Both Chris Baker and Sammy Lee Hill are huge guys that play 3-4 DE at lower levels of competition. At least Chris Baker was at Penn State initially, and he was a huge part (HAHA ITS A PUN) of a ridiculously good run defense that year before he was kicked out due to off-field issues.
