I think they looked like a bunch of clowns with those uniforms. Not that I really care, I hate the patsies, but the look they have now is the better one. IMO
Great upgrade for Detroit. The old logo looked, well, old. Now it at least looks like a Lion, and not a frolicking kitten. Plus, they fixed the striping on the uniforms.

The old lion was dopey-lookin'. It was bewildered and maybe suffering from dementia. The new lion appears to be younger and mean. It enjoys killing other animals just because it can and stuff.
Their new symbol is pretty cool but the new name logo is a little bland. An update was definitely needed though with the 0-16 season.
I think the Lions' uniforms are fine like they are. If all they're changing is the logo, I guess it's a slight improvement though.
They need SOMETHING to try and attract fans, I just don't think this is really the right thing. I actually feel bad for their fans and hope they win a game this decade.
The old uniforms had terrible striping on the sleeves that wasn't consistent with the helmet or pants. They fixed that. It's an improvement.
The Lions throwback uni's are probably my favorite uniforms in football (Fuck the Bolts Powder Blue; I still can't understand why those are a universal favorite). But Detroit's throwbacks- very minimalist, I like em. It's as if they say "Fuck you fashionistas, we're here to play some football." Which of course they're not, but they're uniforms are solid.

i like em, dont really care for the type in the lions but the rest looks pretty good and they are not following in the pansy uniforms craze that so many teams have.
Their throwbacks are really good, they should use those more often than just Thanksgiving. I do like the Chargers, though and the Bills too--way better than what they have now. Even 90s Bills would be ok, but the 70s throwbacks are their best.
And yet, LA Lions has a decent ring to it. That team would never take off here, though. People in LA only show up for a winner, unless it's the Dodgers. I wouldn't mind it. Discounted tickets and all. It would make it a lot easier to stay solely a Jets fan than an expansion team would.
They did? I barely watched that game. In 2007 they didn't though, right? Maybe they didn't in 2006. I remember Dinobot being all broken up because the Lions were wearing their regular unis in the Thanksgiving Day game.
