For one becuase alot more players attend TC than actually make the roster. They do have this thing they call cuts. The 6th rounder or UFA you bring in is not going to buy a house, rent an apartment or even have a place called home to go to. There are other reasons as well. All I go to say is the Organization is really fckin clueless, leave Hofstra and spend 75 mil on a facility that does not fit ALL of your needs.
There's GOT TO BE a nice catholic shoolgirl campus somewhere in NY with a few extra parking places... ...btw i live in binghamton
Why not Princeton or Rutgers? A lot close that upstate NY. Or maybe Hofsta would be good. They have dorms and stands for the fans. This is a joke!! Who is running the asylum?
wow just when i thought it couldnt get any more retarded here we are again. it wasnt enough to move from LI to jersey, it wasnt enough to put these psls on the fans. it wasnt enough to spend all this money and then tell everyone they get 2 weeks unpaid. all of that just wasnt enough, NOW we get the news that our fuckin retard owner and his cronies have forgotten about parking spots and stands and dorms. are they really that stupid? did they really just over look these things? or was this yet another move to screw the fans that have long called the team their team? yeah thats probably it but whats the angle here? what do the jets look to accomplish with this latest most retarded move? someone help me out.... didnt they build a "practice facility" on the grounds in florham? why oh why would they not use their "home" as the training camp? hmm i wonder what the giants are doing now that they have new digs too?
If anyone is interested, the Sports Information Directior confirmed that Cortland is on the Jets list of possible TC locations, Cornell is also on the list.
come back to hofstra a couple of months ago when we saw the pics of the new training facility in nj i remarked that there are no seats for the fans to watch the practice then i thought it is prob an artist drawing----they certainly wouldn't be so stupid as to not put up a grandstand like they did at hofstra i cant understand how an intelligent guy like myself can give his heart and soul to this moronic team
Just another reason you should feel bad for supporting the new Meadowlands stadium and the move to Florham Park.
The latest news............... http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/03/jets_consider_moving_training.html Woody Johnson just gave the fans another screwing............
ok someone help me out.how far from poughkeepsie is cortland.i'm movung there soon and not real familiar with cortland
 Where did that come from? My grandfather owned a bungalow colony there - my father went to high school there (10 in his graduating class), and I spent parts of a bunch of summers there. Edit: On the subject of training camp, the biggest accusation I think people can legitimately make against the Jets regarding this is that they weren't very forthcoming on what they were planning. The facilities in Florham Park are for team administrative offices and practice, and practice facilities and training camp facilities don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. For example, the Giants practice near the Meadowlands, but they have training camp in Albany; the Chiefs and Rams have training camp in Wisconsin; the Cowboys have training camp in California. I also wonder if Woody isn't wondering if the Jets can make some inroads into building a fanbase upstate, given the real possibility that the Bills could leave NY and go to Canada?
This friggin sucks. I live in Millburn, NJ...10 minutes from the Florham Park practice facility. I applied for an internship with the Jets for the summer, and have an interview for it next week. I was planning on an easy commute each morning, now, if i get, im gonna have to pay for a place in upstate NY, while I most likely won't get paid a dime...SUPER!
