Don't embarrass us by looking like jerkoffs. Half the problem with the Jets is the teams image, which is caused by the fans who show up at the draft with those ridiculous construction helmets on that say Jets or those Jet Planes on their heads. All that does is make the average fan, watching on tv, think, "what a jerkoff this guy is." Enough of that. Enough also of overreacting in a negative way, when they pick someone you don't know a thing about. Example: the year the Jets took John Abraham, when the pick was announced, the camera zoomed in on this one guy, looking ridiculous, with his hands spread apart, yelling, "who?" Guy looked like an absolute moron and as it turned out, that might have been the steal of the first round, where he was picked. All that does is make the rest of us Jet fans look ridiculous, like the team is just supported by this type of fan. There is a very good chance that Leinert will be there at 4 and the Jets will pass and take Ferguson or Mario Williams (whichever one the Saints don't take). Don't overreact and make the new Jet feel unwelcomed. They know what they're doing!!! LET'S GO,,, LET'S IMPROVE THE IMAGE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have made posts or comments about this like three or four times now...

I am not one to wear jet planes and other props, but its not like the Jets are the only team that does something like this...I think your moaning about other people's preference is childish and pointless.

    Would you prefer this? [IMG]

    or this? [IMG]

I am not one to judge, but to say the jets have a "bad image" is just stupid...nobody cares if Jets fans wear hard hats or anything else for that matter.

I know what you mean. But I dont think thats gonna happen this year. At 4 I have confidence that the front office will draft a great player to change the Franchise.

    Are you serious? GTFOut.

When we went to the draft we heckled, Laughed, Screamed and had FUN! Snapping w/ Shannon Sharpe of Camera was just part of it.

If you've never been to one just Keep Quiet because you have no Idea of what it's really like. No one makes an ass of themselves.
You want an Image? Then you should have gone to all the pro- stadium events like some of us "Jerk Off" Fans.

    lame....

thats what makes the draft fun. In fact we have a reputation for being fun at the draft, which means we should keep it up.

and for the record: if you example happens, ie. Leinart on the board at 4 and the Jets take Ferguson or Williams - I WILL BOOO RELENTLESSLY

Nah, you gotta put the plane on top of the constuction helmet to be really obnoxious.

#28Martin, you are being a little harsh, but I know where you're coming from. Don't worry about image though, fans will go, fans will boo, fans will cheer. It's the same with any team in any sport. I mean, Kaz Matsui could probably hit .400 this season, but there would still be some Met fans that boo him. Just sit back and enjoy the draft from your TV, and don't give a **** about what anyone else thinks about the team.

Remember, at least our fans have the balls to go out there and support our team when at all possible (I don't mind the Giants, but none of their fans have the heart that most Jets fans do).

i happen to agree with the poster. while the outfits dont really bother me the fact that no matter who is drafted jets fans will boo is another story.

its about the only thing that is guaranteed about the draft, i think they even made fun of it one of the last few years, that jets fans will booo their pick.

    1st come 1st serve basis.

Also someone asked if Espn will re-air the draft? The NFL network will also air the draft and I know that they most likely will re-air the draft since they re-air everything else they brodcast.
