    Thought this was Jets relevant

Bucs signed K Mike Nugent to an undisclosed contract.
It's not clear what this move means for Matt Bryant. Nugent has a stronger leg, but Bryant has been right around 85% on field goals in three of the past four seasons. Considering that the new regime is bringing in Nugent, that would seem to give him an edge over Bryant.

    Give me Bryant!

Wow, Nugent Really Didn't Want to be a Jet

    From PFT.

I would have thought he'd sign with a team that actually needed a kicker. Something really must have gone sour with the Jets.

He does hate the jets. They benched him for half the year last year, but i agreed to the benching feely was playing to well to go back to nuge. So let nuge move one.

What happened? I know that he was injured this year, but was Nugent a FA or the Jets just let him go?

I remember when the Jets drafted him in the 2nd/3rd and people were outraged.

He was an FA. But he was healthy the last part of the season and the Jets still benched him.

Maybe Bryant will get cut, I'd take him over Nuge in a heartbeat.

nuge is good, can't blame the guy for wanting to leave after he got benched the last half of the season though.

He was actually kicking well for us - minus the season opener. But Jay Feely did well replacing him. I'd like to have him back next year.
