NYJ, DET, SF, CHI, JAX(Suspect on them but Gerrard's getting their in age and they have no real guy behind him) can all possibly use a QB somewhere in the draft. May not be priority no.1 so to speak but they would definitely entertain someone like Quinn who is better than any QB prospect in this draft(Yes even Stafford IMO) if he fell.

Wouldent doubt at all at Quinn being a Lion had he been in this draft and not the 2007 one.

There were teams desperate for a QB in '07 that let him go. Namely Miami. You have to remember Notre Dame has sucked lately and that doesn't bode well anymore for their QBs. Although they were a little better when he was there.

Vandy was hot garbage when Cutler was there and he was still highly regarded though.

The ND Offense when Quinn was there was a very strong unit it was the defense that was beyond awful and made Russell look so good in the Sugar Bowl and helped him move to No.1 in the draft.

You mean the guy who didn't even try to play in the NFL and went straight to baseball?

Nothing like trading away the local Golden Boy in Quinn to make you popular with the Dawg Pound Eric.

Does anybody else find it strange that if this deal went through, Brady Quinn will have been coached by Charlie Weis, Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini and Josh McDaniels?

^That is odd and Belichicken is probably the only guy who could get the most out of him.

Cutler has a lot of potential and shows he can be a great QB at times, but I have to agree with Drew, he is probably the most overrated QB in the league right now. Obviously Denver trading him would be foolish but Quinn didn't look half bad in what little time he was on the field.

So if Cutler were traded to the Mangini-coached Brown's team it would likely be the death of him, both literally and figuratively...

Didn't Elway do that too? At least for a year. I guess not, he just took the money and went to the NFL anyway..albeit in a round about way.

When Favre is your QB you can afford to draft a Rodgers and let him rot on the bench for 3 years. SF made a business of doing that when Walsh was the coach and thought you should draft a QB every year. The Jets, however, don't have that luxury. That is why they traded for Favre to begin with. If they decide they want a passing game they will either trade for another QB or draft one that will be ready in less than a year.

My favorite stat of Cutlers. Took a team headed towards the playoff (with jake plummer) in 2006 and went 2-3 to end the season. And of course has yet to get them back in. Almost forgot to add. The Broncos made the playoffs with Plummer in 2005 as well.

And of course his 88, 88, 86 passer rating over the last three years is nothing to write home about.

Well to be honest, how much coaching do you think Mangini has done so far this year?

"n a point blank attempt to end a three-day publicity fiasco, the Denver Broncos are putting a halt to the idea that they are still entertaining the thoughts of trading Pro Bowl quarterback Jay Cutler.

"The Denver Broncos are not trading Jay Cutler -- period," Denver spokesman Patrick Smyth said. "

"myth said Cutler, 25, will meet with the team's brass, including new coach Josh McDaniels, next week to communicate in an attempt to repair the relationship that was fractured Saturday when news broke that the Broncos were discussing trading for New England quarterback Matt Cassel and then trading Cutler to Tampa Bay. Other teams also discussed Cutler with Denver."

so we can probably stop talking about this now..probably.

I find it strange that the guy was such a super star at ND & that he has had very little playing time in the NFL, due to injuries. Don't know if this guy will ever get much of a NFL career going for him.
