Jets know what they're doing here.... He isn't the only free agent left, there are alot of options out there.

i agree with this notion. build through the draft and fill in holes with free agency. Sean Jones would be another nice option also

Sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make. Maybe this is for the best as we have more money to address issues on the offense finally.. TE or WR perhaps?

I'm thinking the same thing. Without Leonhard our defense will be good enough anyway.

I would love to have Leonhard, but if he's asking too much then I support Tanny and Rex here.

Tanny has done such a good job, I love that man!

I agree 100%, he played well down the stretch for the Ravens, but not the type of player you want to throw the money at.

Cutler is not on the block, that much has been confirmed, and i agree that its best not to overspend on him. Still i hope he realizes this is the best situation for him, and signs for a reasonable price.

Philly let Dawkins and Considine go. They are reall thin at safety now. I'm pretty sure that Leonhard's agent told him they should at least visit them before signing anywhere. If the Eagles are willing to over pay... this is Leonhards best chance for his best contract in the NFL. If the offers are in the same ball park, I think he'd sign with us over Philly.

If he doesn't sign it's not the end of the world.

In fact, I'll argue it's even for the better because then we'll probably go draft someone with much more potential who can make the Secondary second to none (no pun intended, actually, it was.)

Not to be overly repetitive, but a Secondary consisting of Revis/Rhodes/Sean Smith/Sheppard - with an improved pass rush - would probably be the best in the league immediately.

Hardly matters when Dwight Lowery will be moved to safety if we dont draft one in the first 2 rds. Thats exactly where he should be, especially in a defensive scheme like Ryan's.

Yeah, I want him, but he shouldn't get any type of big contract.

I'd rather we go after Patrick Chung in the 2nd round. He's gonna be a far better pro than Leohnard is.

Not totally sure I believe Landry is some type of free agent either UFA or RFA. By the way this may be a very good sign that this guy left without a contract. I think Leonhard might have been looking for too much but money and the Jets said no thanks.

Didn't expect him to leave without anything done but w/e maybe we wanna look elsewhere instead of paying Leonhard $ he doesn't deserve.

    Tanny:"Here's our best offer"
Leonhard:"It's not quite what i think i can get. Other teams are after me."
Tanny:"No problem. We don't think you'll do better, but no hard feelings. Go on out and make some other visits. If you get offered a better deal, give us a chance to match. In return, we will keep our offer on the table in the event you don't get more from another team."
Leonhard:"Sounds fair. We'll let you know."

no need to overpay for this guy. maybe he thinks he's worth more because he was baltimore's best punt returner last year. that job's taken...
