You think this is holding up the front office pushing other possible signings aside?

Of course it is and I am sure he has been given an ultimatum..hell, I don't like it but we will probably sign Lewis if he goes back to the Ravens. They don't have the money for both.

^Right. And at the same time, I've read earlier news blurbs that he was SIGNED. I wish the sports media would be able to hold off until something is definitive (in general). I realize it's all a part of the business and they're all trying to trump one another, but it's annoying to have things change every hour or so. NFLfanouse.com said @ 9:42 a.m. he was signed, baltimoreravens.com said @ 10:12 a.m. 'Bart Scott signs with Jets', the sportsnetwork said @ 12:12 p.m. the Jets were on the verge of signing him, The New Post sports blog says it's a done deal...

EDIT: GAH! This already jumped two pages since I said '^Right.' Nevermind.

    Ravens top Jets offer

The Baltimore Sun passes along speculation that the Ravens are now offering Bart Scott a five-year, $42 million contract.
That's $2 million more than the Jets' offer. Scott also reportedly wants to be assured that he will be the "center piece" of the new defense, which means he would be taking over Ray Lewis' spot. Scott is still negotiating with both clubs.

Mike Boley is almost too small to play in the 4-3 - how do you think he'll do in the 3-4?

C'mon guys - stop throwing out random names.

No - this time it's Scott. His agent wanted him to play for the Jets. Scott feels he owes something to the Ravens.

Because people have already given up on their old employer. And both sides have resentment.
