A lot of people have been in favor of trading down from #4, and some teams based on needs, could be interested in moving up. I'm just curious as to everyone's philosophy. Assuming we get fair value in the trade down, how far down is too far?
The lowest I would go is #9, only problem is I don't see any teams in the 5-9 range trying to move up to 4..
Depends on how they value the QB's to how low we could go... But, dropping down to 11 PLUS adding another late 1st rounder sounds sweet - Grab whoever falls: Bush Mario Hawk Ferguson Ngata Davis Huff JUSTICE Young Lienart Cutler
definatly #6, we would get an extra pick, and pick up either vernon davis, aj hawk, vine young, or ngata
In order for us to trade up to the #1 spot to get bush it would cost at the very least our #4, #29 and #35. I do not wanna give up 3 picks for 1 player regardless of how amazing he is. We have too many holes to fill and we need those picks. I would like to trade down with san fran to get the #6 and the #22 pick from them. I wouldn't mind drafting: #6 Cutler #22 D. Willimas #29 Carpenter, Mcneil or Mangold #35 Max jean gilles Although I also wouldn't mind staying at #4 and taking Mario Williams or AJ Hawk either. I just don't wanna trade up thats all.
sure I'd love to trade the 4th pick to San Fran for their two first rounders also. I'd like to win the lottery too.. Who do you think SF is giving up two first rounders to move up 2 spots for?
Why do you think it's that hard to beleive, the giants gave 2 first rounders to get eli and move up 3 spots. It's all based on a point system man. They would have to give atleast that b/c they don't have a 2nd or 3rd rounder. If San Fran wants some player bad enough they will trade up to ensure they get him. They supposivly want AJ Hawk real bad, i think it's a stupid move on there part, but I won't complain if they go through with it.
I wouldn't mind that either, because we really do need a big DT like Ngata, but I wouldn't want to pick Justice simply because there is so much depth at tackle in this draft. But when your up this high in the draft and you have a chance to take a franchise qb you have to. I'm a huge pennington fan, he's my fav player on the team, but the realitity is that we need to rebuild our team, and rebuilding starts with a qb.
If you believe in the point system like you say, than I suggest you go and check the value chart to see how absurd this actually is. The 49ers would never give up both ones to move up to 4.
i'm not saying that the niners would do this, but this has been talked about on espn and by many people on this board. If the niners did want to move up that would really be there only option unless they decided to trade there 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th and i'm not sure if thats enough points.
There is to much talent at the top to drop out of the top ten picks. The farthest they should go is 9, and hopefully we could get Cutler or Huff in that position.
whoever says Cutler at 4 is crazy. Mosy people haev him going late top 10 or maybe after 10....if we are gonan draft him we oughta trade down....
