I don't want Clemens, I want a guy that throws amazing bomb practices in pre-season.

Just give Clemens the Dam ball!! You can't judge the guy on 8 starts with a shitty team, and if u really want to, well he was robbed of a win against the Ravens because McDrophands dropped what would have been the game winning TD. Peyton Manning would have sucked with the line and running game the Jets had in 2007. Clemens is a 2nd round pick, he's only 25, and deserves a real chance. Screw all these washed up guys liked Grossmen, Collins, Garcia, ect. Draft a QB like Sanchez, give the ball to Clemens and see what he can do with a Line, Running game and a decent Defense. If you want to bring in a guy incase Clemens bombs or get s hurt ok, but give Clemens the starting job, he didn't do that bad in 2007 and he had nothing to work with, with the additions the Jets have made I think Clemens has what it takes but we will never know unless he gets the ball.

You're damn right "screw all these washed up guys." There is enough young talent at QB on this team to give them a good look. I can see it now: Clemens gets cut, signs with Buffalo, and leads them to a division title. Give Clemens a solid O Line and running game and let's see what he can do. Jets need to concentrate on Defense in the draft - that is the priority right now. If Clemens bombs and they get a high pick in 2010, then they can look at drafting a QB.

The only good game I ever saw Clemens have for the Jets was the road game down in Miami back in 2007. I was at the game. But I'm sorry, talk is cheap when you look like crap in 2007 & the 2008 pre-season.

I still think Brett Ratliff is the QB of the future for the Jets. But when training camp opens, I want to see who will take the reigns for the Jets. Untill Clemens really shows me something, I'll take Ratliff right now.

We don't need a washed up vet. No Buldger, No Warner, No Leftwich. It's going to be Ratliff or Clemens & right now my money is on Ratliff.

Here we go again , HATING on a guy who isn't even a starter.
I want the best QB available to start for us , not get it awarded to them , should that be KC , then so be it and I'll be prepared to give him his FULL chance.
Personally I don't think he has IT , and will fail , but please , lets get behind whoever is the starter.

Yep. I don't know what these Clemens haters are going to do if he ends up the starter. Are they going to boo him?

People cheered when Pennington got hurt, do you really need to ask this question?

Totally different situation. Chad had been playing poorly. Clemens has not really played much at all.

With booing Pennington.. that was the first game of the season, and he was the only one who actually looked good that day. Unfortunately, NY fans are not short on douchebags.

The earlier reference was to him being booed when he got injured. What opening day injury did he have and he got booed? I do not recall that.

His ankle injury.. it was against the Pats on opening day. Some please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought I remembered this being the one he was booed over.

Clemens better make it "Go Time" or it will be "Trade/Cut Time".

That would be the Jets luck too, we'd have Pennington leading the Dolphins and Clemens leading the Bills and the Jets will be sitting here with some washed up bozo like Rex Grossman. I heard today that Kurt Warner is interested in the Jets if Arizona does not workout, but again, if Clemens don't get his shot this year then it's never going to happen so you may as well trade or cut him and you can bet he'll be back to burn us...

Yes, that's the one. If Jets' fans are willing to cheer when their own QB gets hurt, I don't think it's that far fetched to expect them to boo Clemens if he's made the starter.

People are going to boo no matter what, it's inevitable. He could go 20-22 with both of those incompletions being drops by the WR's and he'll still get blamed if we lose. It's just the way Jets' fans are. Sad but true.

    Booing players makes then:

    -A. Better players
    -B. Worse players
    -C. Jets players
