I never said he was a piece of garbage.. (if i did i was just steamed)
He is a good QB... but what i said is he is not a TOP TIER QB (Like Peyton, Brady, Brees, even maybe Warner.) he is a decent QB that can win games... but this isnt a WHO WINS GAMES thread? it is how good is ben... and all i am saying is NOT THAT GOOD, not a great leader, he has a passer ratting JUST above 80, sure he won 13 games but thats not unheard of.

dude...i don't give a rats ass about the stats.....i care about the wins.

If the Jets had a QB whose rating was 60.0 thru the regular season....and we went 14-2 and our QB managed a few 4th quarter game-winning drives...ultimately getting us a berth in the Super Bowl. Do you think ANYBODY will care about his stats??!! I know I wouldn't!!

"I'm sorry Mr. Favre...you won the super bowl on a game winning drive in the final 2 minutes...but really, you're a pile of shit and because your QB rating was 55 during the playoffs, and you didn't throw 5 TD's, and you got sacked 6 times...we're gonna consider NOT giving you any credit for helping your team win...sorry Brett, you're a pile of shit".

    gimme a break.

MBG, you don't even need to make that argument because Roethlisberger has had a whopping ONE season in his career in which he's been statistically subpar. And that was the year he got his head scrambled on the pavement and had his spleen removed.

What more do you want from the guy, Smoot?

you know what...you're hopeless. And obviously don't understand a thing about football. This was fun for awhile...now you're just annoying.

    go in peace.

I get what your saying... but what i am saying is he was NOT the reason they won all those games... he was decent, but he isnt the reason he won...

Sure your TEAM can win a bunch of games... thats great, and no one will care about your crappy stats... BUT the fact that you HAVE crappy stats and your NOT the reason your team won all those games, PROVES your not a great player...

If Ben was on a team with a shitty D, he wouldnt win.
You can win, but that doesnt make you good.

it's all good, LTS. I know where i stand...i've watched enough football in my lifetime to know what's important here. This kid probably reads a lot of FFL magazines and bases player talent on the stats he finds in those mags.

Steelers faced some really good defenses....and without a solid running game or an offensive line worth a shit...is it REALLY that shocking to see the offense ranked so poorly?

Look how bad Eli looked when Plaxico got suspended. It's a team game. Ben ain't always pretty but at the end of the day..It's all about winning the Lombardi. Brady did it..Favre did it...Both Manning's did it.

That's what they judge you on. Big Ben has more wins in his first 5 years as a starter than ANY OTHER QB in history.....

Talk all you want....I'll keep the guy that's won two SUper Bowls for my team.

#rs are for fantasy football. Driving your team down for the winning touchdown against above average -> great defenses when the pressure is on and the game is on the line is what wins football games. That's what Rothlisberger does. He has more 4th quarter game winning drives over the past 2 years than any QB in football and any QB in a 2 year span in NFL history.

Pittsburghs great defense isn't leading them to any game winning drives. Take your stats, I'll take the wins.

The talent across the league is pretty close and many games come down to the 4th quarter. You need a guy behind center who can excel when the pressure is on.

Considering age and injury there is not one QB playing in the NFL right now that I would take over Big Ben. Not only is he a great QB but he is great fun to watch as well.

Well shit, now that you put it in parantheses you got my attention. Preach on brotha man, preach on.

I just browsed most of your posts, but i think i got the general jist of things.
    A) Stats impress the fuck out of you not matter if the player is actually good or not.

    B) Your just on the line of legally blind and can't see more than a few inches in front of you. Even if you never watched a single regular season game, just watching the SB you can see how good of a QB Big Ben is.

Sorry to hear about your optical condition man....

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger played the Super Bowl with broken ribs, SI.com's Peter King has reported.
