I don't know who it was but after a TD, the Steelers player did a Lebron-James-tossing-talcum-powder-into-the-air routine. I wanted so much to bash that player's face in at the point.

No doubt the NFL suits wanted the Steelers to win. Why wouldn't they? It is one of the NFL's key franchises.

I mean im a die hard Jets Fan... but when it comes to fair play they should play fair especially in the superbowl let the men play the game... And then they were praising Ben when he really didnt do that good this time and his last superbowl was shit too.. My thing is they want to protect the QB and i totally understand in a way but this is football not table tennis... and when your QB is built like and Nfl D lineman or Linebacker how on earth are you suppose to tackle this man without going full steam ahead...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Arizona got jobbed, and I had no stake in the outcome of the game.

Arizona loses and Pitt doesn't cover, go figure.

He had grip of the ball, forward pass, easily. With fifteen yards, all they needed was a little Fitzgerald magic and they would of had the Superbowl. The NFL needs new refs, refs who aren't big Steeler fans.

Yeah, considering that the defender was pulling back on his arm, the ball still moved forward with enough velocity to bounce off his helmet and travel 5 yards forward. Forget all the other blown calls in the game... This one was called because less than 10 seconds on the clock from that point on the field meant hail mary. I don't know there would be any WR in the history of the league that I would rather have going for it than Fitz.

    Consider this little doozy......

There was a prop bet about the game time over or under 3 hours and 37 minutes. Guess what the official time of the game was including halftime? 3 hours 38 minutes.

No kidding... The people that bet Arizona were going for the nice "no points" payoff. The people that bet Pitt were going for the nice "giving away points" payoff. Couldn't have been a better outcome for our little city.

thats a hell of a point, if you really want a pitt win, what better way than to make sure Zona never gets a shot at the miracle Hail mary? Personally I think a hail mary bomb, win at the last second by Arizona would have been better than a pitt win, for the NFL anyway, but what do I know?

It is all the cards o line. If they block the pitt player who knows what happens. Some one blew an assingment and low and behold the refs have the game in their hands instead of where it belongs. In the cards hands. Don't let yourself get beat by the defensive player. The refs have been crappy all year what makes you think it is going to change in the SB. The Steelers earned the win they deserve it. Conspiracy theroy all around I suppose.Shure in a perfect world they review the play but take a look around.
For the record it was a fum-incom-ble-plete-pass

well they held off Woodley for a good 4+ seconds, Warner was waiting to heave it up for a hail mary. with 18 ticks to go I would be trying to throw a 15-20 yard out to the sideline... then go for the hail mary.

Good point it probably would have been a better play call for the cards to make. The heat of the moment took over and warner was just trying to make a play. It just didn't turn out they way he wished it would. Maybe someone down field was wide open. They should show the view of the whole field so the people on tv can really get a good view of what is going on in the game. Instead of just showing the line of scrimage that just blows.

Don't you think that it would have benefited the nfl more if the cards won the game. Steelers fans are all over like flies on dung. I live in Tucson az and let me tell you I witnessed the biggest band wagon in my life when the cards beat philly. Let me see, make the steelers fans happy OR lets get this big untapped fan base to start loving the nfl. You do the math. And that goes for anybody who thinks the nfl wanted the steelers to win this game. I don't even like the steelers or the cards. I am just waiting(like I have been for 22 years) for the J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS! to notch another SB victory!

You wouldn't be tapping any new fans in Arizona. A ton of Steelers fans already live there....not like they are gonna just stop rooting for the Steelers because the Cardinals won the Super Bowl.

Actually I'm quite sure one of the lowest numbers in fanbase history goes to the steelers.

The Pats or Giants are up at the top.

I don't recall ever saying that the steelers fan base would stop rooting for the steelers. Like the entire world is steelers fans. I stated in my post that steelers fans are every like flies on dung so I know that the steelers fan base is deep and wide. Alot of people in this thread are saying the refs handed you the game and the nfl wanted you to win. I was just giving a reason why they would want the cards to win. So if you are ok backing into the SB championship that is fine with me. I could not care less about the steelers.

i agree with both situations you came up with

as well the steelers kicked the ball to the cardinals and the ball rolled back into the back of the endzone. A cardinal player tried picking up the ball but only got one hand on it as it rolled out of bounds. this should have been called a saftey but was only called a touchback.

    anyone see this

Yeah I saw that too, but I wasn't sure if I what I saw was the right thing.

This game did smell alot like the Seahawks game, now that I sit here and read the things in list form. But while I was watching it, I kept thinking the Cardinals would be alright so I didn't really dwell on the sucky reffing.

I also think the NFL could have benefitted from the Cardinals coming out of nowhere and winning it
