I think so. I'm 27 yoa and have been a football fan now for 13 of those years. I can't recall a year when so much talent was on the board. This is one of those type years that no team could possibly have a really bad draft. With the depth at each posistion, especially on offense no team can loose. If you look at Kyper's updated draft manual (it looks like a phone book) and Vic Carucci's "Top 5" at each posistion there are guys that are gonna be 7th round draft picks that make an immediate impact. I think the Jets are looking really good with 2 firsts, a second, and two thirds. This should be a the best draft for them since 2000 when we scooped Ellis, Penny, and Abe in the first.

Exactly right. Where are the stud WR's and pass rushers? How many really great RB's are there outside of Bush?

There's no Peyton Manning either so I'd have to say this draft shapes up like most others. No better, no worse.

Although the top of the draft appears much stronger than last year's. Alex Smith would have a hard time cracking the top 20 this year.

In all seriousness, what would lead you to this thought/statement? I agree with the others, this draft is far from it.

Drafts are so hard to judge in the moment. Look back 5+ years after a draft to even consider making a statement like that.

Who knows, you may be right, but looking at it now, I could not disagree more.

Wow I must be thinking different than everyone else. As far as receivers I think the top three or four have a lot of potential 1. Sinorice Moss 2. Santonio Holmes 3. Chad Jackson 4. Derek Avant. I do agree that receiver is probably the weakest offensive crop of talent

Pass rushing defensive ends 1. Mario Williams 2. Tambi Hall 3. Mathias Kiwanuka?

I think just about every name I have heard discussed at QB all have the potential for greatness or to be atleast very good especially the top five. You don't think Leniart has the potential to be a Brady or Manning? Why not? Vince Young, Jay Cutler, Omar Jacobs, Brodie Croyle, and my sleeper pick QB Kellen Clemens from Orgeon. Clemens was a high school all American and was having a sensational senior year then broke his leg. He did really well at the combine and has a lot of potential. I also think that Drew Olsen from UCLA and Charlie Whitehurst from Clemson have great pro potential.

I completly disagree with you about great backs outside of Reggie Bush. I agree that he's the best but I think that Lawerence Maroney from Minnesota, Joseph Adai from LSU, Deangelo Williams, and Lendale White could be immediate starters for just about any team without a strong running game.

I can kind of understand where dclark is coming from,Bush and Williams have been described as once in a life time players. It's rare to have one of these types of players in a draft let alone two_On top of those two you've got guys like Hawk,Davis and Ferguson who could be regular fixtures in the pro bowl. Then you've got the QBs too. There is a lot of potential in the top 6,7 players.

Regardless i think this is going to be one of the most exciting drafts in recent memory.A lot of the top teams could go in any direction and aren't tipping their hands.Plus we have such a high pick and so many picks in the first few rounds.I feel like I'm ten years old waiting for Christmas day.

This draft definetly has the potential to be the best draft ever. This years class is so solid and the talent level is higher than any of the previous years. Also there are so many different possibilities as to who goes where, where as in years past it's clear cut who the #1 pick is and what team is getting him. Im really excited for this years draft. And im ready for the Jets to take D'BRICK!:martin:

come on! what is making you guys believe that this will be the best draft ever is the fact that the media is so much on these players saying that much of them are unique and franchise saving players, this is not real, I am not saying that there is no talent, there is, but the media is trying to exploit their achievements and the fact is that these players still are college players and still have to develop pro abilities and mentality.
