Definitely XLII. This one might have been closer if the Cards D hadn't bent over and there weren't so many damn penalties. Quite a few bad calls by the refs too.
Officiating was horrible, as is always the case when the Steelers are in the Super Bowl. As with the Seattle Super Bowl, all of the questionable calls went against the Cards.
I enjoyed this one more. Sure, it was fun watching the Pats go 18-1, but it's really deflating watching your hometown rival win while you're sulking in the corner.
The better question would be XXIII vs. XLIII. The two games were very similar. Btw this years game was by far the better of the last years
Hands down in my eyes, the Giants win. It was a huge upset, it was a great hard hitting game. I can't ever not love watching Brady get blasted on his ass by the Giants. Besides the Tyree bomb was the greatest single play in the history of the Super Bowl, or at least as far as i am concerned.
I'm biased because my team won one of the two games in question. The Cardinals..major underdogs fought back hard and took the lead against the Steelers and then Big Ben led em on a clutch pressure drive to win the game. That's just as exciting as what we saw last year.
Was it a "Clutch Pressure Drive" or a CHOKE-FEST BY THE CARDS SECONDARY? I think it's the latter. Cards could've sure used a young Aeneas Williams(remember him?) this game.
The Giants game by far. Not even close. The Giants defense was amazing. Took down at 18-0 team. HUGE underdogs. Amazing and iconic plays occurred. This game, not so much. Too much refs ruining the game for me.
The giants and patriots one was better, because of all the story lines going into the game can the pats go 19-0 and they lose to the giants a wild card team in the last minute. Epic.
Tyree Touchdown. Giants Lead 10-7! Wow! Patriots score with a couple minutes left. 14-10. Game over right? Eli to Tyree, are you kidding me? Samuel with the dropped INT. WOW! Eli to Burress for the win! 17-14. Much more exciting. Both were great finishes though.
I think if the Cardinals held on to win after that comeback...even I would have called it the most exciting Super Bowl even as I would have felt sick to my stomach
This one was better in my opinion. Last year's game didn't get exciting at all until the 4th while this game was exciting from the start. So many twists and turns in this one compared to last year also.
Lol, is this even a debate? Manning to Tyree by far. New York over Boston, crushing the undefeated season. The Giants won that game fair and square, try to say the same for Riggsburgh.
the giants win without a doubt. this one was close but wasnt a great game in my eyes. more like 2 mediocre teams playing mediocre games for periods at a time. definitely not a great game, i am actually quite surprised a the amount of people calling this a great game.. maybe its just me and my distaste for the nfl right now.
This was a sloppy game with an awesome 4th quarter and a lot of interference from the officials. Last year was a slugfest with outstanding defense on both sides and one of the most iconic play in the history of the game on the final drive. No contest.
