Because he can't play, causes controversy, and no one would want him, except maybe the Skins. Then you cut him pay him his 7 and 7 mill comes off the cap. Of course this is all relative to how he comes into camp, if she shuts the f*ck up and catches the passes he routinely hauls in, that he routinely dropped last season, I'd like him back.
So let me get this straight. We PAY LC to sit at home because he's too much of a "controversy"? I'm not busting your balls man, but please tell me where this is making ANY SENSE. We kept DRob because of his cap number, and he was garbage. AT LEAST LC is some what productive. Now, I'm no LC supporter, but if my options are Pay Him and Keep Him or Pay Him and Cut Him, I think I'd just assume keep him. Somebody please tell me I'm not crazy.
LOL, dude I just read your pidgeon quote...that is funny as hell. The days of letting players hold the team ransom are over. F$ck Coles, they can cut him and refuse to pay him and get locked up in litigation with his dumb ass and not pay him for years. F^ck Coles. The Jets need cohesion.
Really great post, everything seems like there was a lot of thought put into it. The FA moves are pretty solid. However, Channing Crowder was quoted not knowing where England was and was not joking in the least... not too sure about him
i like alot of what your saying but have a couple of things that just dont make sense to me. 1. Richardson is still a great fb yea he is old but hes still top in the game and provides leadership 2. Chatman only got 5 carries cuz he had the suspension then got injured. I know it was only preseason but i think he deserves another look. 3. Poteat, I think we keep him as a 3rd or 4th cb. He doesnt demand much cake and hes pretty solid. 4. The bryan thomas trade would never work. Thomas is pretty old maybe a 5th rounder. But the broncos have gguys like dumervil and jarvis moss they dont need olb pass rushers. 5. I wanted channing crowder too but, ive heard mixed reviews about him. + anyone who doesnt know where london is isnt a good thing. 6. George Foster is crap. i understand hes a backup but i dk if paying 2 mil a year for a backup is in our plans right now. If we have some free cash so be it, but i just dont think we will. I really like your draft though not familiar with your first rounder and by retaining richardson we can spend that fourth on maybe a cb or rb
I was thinking that this is the first year in a long time that we have no idea at all what it is that the Jets may be looking for with their 1st and 2nd picks.
I respect how much time you put into this but I disagree with many moves here. I wouldn't draft a FS with our 1st pick unless we were getting the next Brian Dawkins on our hands. I wouldnt resign Nugent, I also would not pick up Crowder, Carr. I hope that doesn't happen.
Expect them focus on defense. Look for players that can do multiple things well. Big, fast linebackers that can tackle, drop into coverage, stop the run and blitz the qb. I would look for them to focus on updating the secondary in free agency. The defense with some additions has the potential to be very good.
I think teebow would be a decent QB in the NFL i think he will surprise people. I think he would be great if we ran some wildcat formations picture im lining up as a wr and the kids got feet and can run.
He runs like a mid 4.5...he's not going to burn anyone in the pros. I want him to get a chance as QB in the NFL, but he might be nothing more than a slash player. He also won't be able to run everyone over in the pros, but defensive backs better watch out.
He most likely will be a defensive back. Unless there is a team next year as horrible and depleted at QB as Detroit is this year, desperate enough to give him a shot...
