    Hi All,

Just received my latest issue of Sporting News and here is their mock draft for our NY Jets:

    #4- Mario Williams
    #29- Marcus McNeil OT Auburn
    Rd 2 #35- Davin Joseph G Oklahoma
Rd 3 #71- Charlie Whitehurst QB Clemson
Rd 3 #97- Victor Adeynaju DE Indiana
Rd 4 #103- Jerious Norwood RB Miss State
Rd 4 #117- Tim Day TE Oregon
Rd 5 #138- Hank BAskett WR New Mexico
Rd 7 #211- Danieal Manning CB Abilene Christian (Where?!)

Don't know who half these guys are, but figure I'd mention this since I got it anyway...

    Not bad.

I would be a little upset we draft a T at 29, then a G at 35. Seems like overkill to me.

A player I love is Victor Adeynaju and think he would be a fantastic pick in the 3rd. I am also a fan of Whitehurst too.

i've been high on Jerious Norwood for a while... and no one knew about him.

Now all of sidden he is coming up everywhere with Jets in their mock drafts. I was hoping that he would be my huge sleeper pick and now he's coming up more frequently... damn

I like it but you cant use Joseph with McNeill the Joseph picks has to be Gilles you need to have road graters or zone blockers not a mix of both

I like it, but I agree with Wolfe Tone, you need to get another road-grading guard if you're going to take McNeill (and I like Joseph, but it wouldn't work too well.)

That's a pretty good draft. I really like the Marcus McNeil pick, but I don't see him falling past the Bucs at 23...

Isn't that what Davin is good at? I thought he was better at run blocking?

He's fairly good at it, but not a road-grader like Gilles or Lutui.

Overkill????Have you seen this line? Our O line was so neglected in years' past that we can't draft enough quality guys this year.

2 top guys in a row would certainly not present an issue for me...

I don't like McNeil, and Manning will be gone long before the seventh, but that's a solid draft. Those are all decent players. It's not how I would go personally, but it's a nice draft.

That's a pretty good draft, except the third round. Whitehurst is not anywhere on my list. I would take Young or Leinart before him, and I don't like either of them. Give me Croyle in that spot and we are talking.

And why pick a DE in round 3 after taking Mario? How many DEs do we need to run a 3-4?

the only pick thats really good on that is Mario Williams even though I prefer to take Leinart or Young there. The Marcus Mcneil picks good but I wouldnt do it now that we signed Clement we dont have to draft a RT that early and guard is another position we dont have to draft that early either.

Pretty solid draft. I wouldn't have any gripes about things if they went down like that. Davin Joseph might be a little high for his value. I like the Norwood pick.

I'm pretty sure Manning is projected to go in the second round. I'm not saying he will definately go there, but I would put $100 on him not sliding 5 rounds in the draft.

    Also they forgot another 7th.

Good God not Whitehurst. We're supposed to build a franchise around a QB that will win games, not lose them all by himself.
