Brett. I was so unbelievably pumped for that, I couldn't believe it was actually happening.

This seemed like a foregone conclusion for a week, and our second choice at that.

I was very apprehensive about Favre when we traded for him. I was away from all media at the time I find out about it so that might have helped.

I'm a lot more excited about Ryan.

Favre was out of nowhere, Ryan we knew was coming.

I love Favre, but Ryan can do more for the entire franchise than favre can.

Me too. The last I heard at the time, he might have been going to Tampa Bay.

Next thing I know, my father woke me up with the Daily News in front of my face with Favre on the back saying we traded for him.

Needless to say, I was stoked.

I think my excitement was equal but different. With Brett I was more enamored with seeing a living legend in a Jets uniform, even if it was only going to be short term. The excitement of Rex is a more rational excitement as this could be the beginning of a positive long term culture change for the franchise.

Favre, by far. Who would ever think that a 4-12 team would gain so much fanfare over something. Literally, the entire world was discussing it for days. Who would ever think that a sports figure going to a team would bring such craziness! Sh*t, the other NY team just won the Super Bowl and all anyone could talk about is Favre.

Favre is one of the greatest ever. If he does retire, at least he was on the Jets for a season. I am proud to admit that I loved every minute of it.

Just out of curiosity, what type of signing would it actually take to excite you?

The Favre signing had me doing shots of Jack Daniels at 2:00am to celebrate.

I'm excited about Ryan, especially after his press conference, but feel he was hired on the heels of a lost season I will not forget about all too soon. So no celebration involved.

Rex Ryan, by far. The Favre trade had me drinking to forget about it.

Honestly, Brent Farge. It just seemed so unreal.

    Rex Ryan just makes sense.

    I lied in my response.

Just kidding, I'm more excited about Rexy than I was about Favre.

Favre was not exciting for me. I am just south of Packer Country, right next to Bear Territory. I have seen this guy let loose on so many ill advised passes. I knew it would only get us to mediocrity at best. If he had more time things could have been different, but the guy is a dinosaur. Rex brings more to the table. Much more exciting forecast with him than Favre.

Why isn't Kimo von Oelhoffen a choice, as he is the real answer. LDO

A close second would be Leonard Peters hair.

    Burt was more exciting because:

    a. Unexpected surprise in a time where a lot of people were down on the QB situation.
    b. Got caught up in the hype.
    c. Thought we had a chance to go to the big dance.
    d. His complete failure at the end of the season is responsible for me not being able to be that excited about the Jets for a while.

Definitely Favre. He is my favorite player and I always wondered what he would do for the Jets if he was their QB. Ryan was a very good coaching pick but I would have wanted Bill Cowher more.
