If that is the case, then Leonhard would be useful in that regard. Leo is not much of a kick returner, but he is quick enough to be effective at bringing back punts. I wouldn't say that Jimmy is especially good at reading the field, but he is fast/elusive enough to make up for that.
If Ryan really like Leonhard, then I see no reason not to bring him in and I would be all for it. We do need to upgrade the other safety position.
My hope is that Ryan can find or coach up our own Leonhard on the current squad or through the draft. Let's see what his schemes are worth.
