The Arizona Cardinals are making their first Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XLIII. This cut the list of teams who have not made it to a Super Bowl from 6 to 5. It got me to think which of the 5 remaining teams has the best chance to make it next?
    The teams left are:
    -Cleveland Browns
    -Detroit Lions
    -New Orleans Saints
    -Jacksonville Jaguars
    -Houston Texans

So, who do you think can make it next?

I think the Lions need to be thrown out immediately, with the tough AFC North, the Browns should be thrown out too. It looks like the NFC South is getting tough too with Atlanta and Carolina, but New Orleans can still hold its own. The Jaguars are good, but I just don't think Del Rio is the answer and I can't see them winning with him at the helm. My answer, surprisingly, is the Houston Texans. I think they will have a great chance to make their first playoffs appearance in 2009. Odds are none will make it next year, but hey, who thought the Cardinals would this year? I mean really.

My vote goes to Houston as well, and if the Saints actually get a defense across from brees, they can be very very good.

I voted for the Saints, as the Cardinals have shown that you don't have to have a dominant defense to get there if you have a great offense.

I think the Saints,Texans and Jaguars could realistically make it next season. The Browns and Lions, not so much. What I mean by that is, if they made it to a Super Bowl, I would not be completely shocked.

The Lions simply due to how weak their division always is

I'd put the Texans and Saints as the co favorites and the Jags not far behind. Cleveland and Detroit are way behind the curve. It should be noted that the Saints did hire Gregg Williams to be their DC....

Saints...it seems like there is a trend: NFC has an easier road to the super bowl these past years.

I am very surprised to see Jacksonville with 0 votes, yet Cleveland with 4.

I would say the Saints. The Saints if they stay healthy and improve a little on defense could be a dangerous team with their offense and a weak NFC.

    I picked the Texans

Although I think if it were to happen in the next 1 or 2 years it would be the Saints because of the easier road in the NFC and Brees.

But I don't not think the Saints get there in that timeframe.
Cleveland Hired Mangini that rules them out.
    The Lions - hahahahahahha

So that leaves a toss up between Jax and Houston , I think Houston is on the way up and Jax is going in the other direction.

So my Pick Houston but probably not for at least 3 or 4 years and it wouldn't surprise me if 10 years from now none of them had made it yet.

If Mangini gets Cleveland to the Super Bowl I will throw up.
