Should We Get LT?

Should we try to get LaDainian Tomlinson?

  1. No way in Hell. LT is over the hill and done.

  2. Yes. Provided he passes a physical and the price is right.

    22.6%
  3. Maybe. He might be old but he's a year younger than TJ.

    7.5%
  4. No. The only value he has left is to help Woody sell PSLs.

There is talk that the Chargers are considering whether to keep him or not. He was severely limited throughout the season with a bad toe and had one game where he looked like his old self and then he tore a groin muscle. He's going to be 30 years old and has a lot of mileage on the odometer. OTOH, his O-Line played like crap this year and I think our line can and will run block with the best the NFL has to offer if given the chance. If the price is right, (and seeing all the extra money we'll have available by not having to pay Favre) I think it might be worth a shot.

    Yes? No? Maybe?

if we are going to speculate about players still on other teams, I say we make a push for Michael Turner instead.

um. did Ladainian Tomlinson get cut? because that is one rumor I will never believe until it happens. Also we can not afford LT. even if he is over the hill and done, he still will get payed 3 times as much as TJ for similar production at this stage of their careers. No need to swap them out imo.

I think we should go after David Beckham. He's done as a soccer player, but for the right price could kick for us and sell some PSL's.

Yea, that makes about as much sense.

LT is done..... Elite RBs decline vey quickly. Priest Holmes, Shawn Alexander and now Tomlinson. When they hit that wall there is no coming back. He is done and I'd want nothing to do with him.

It depends. He's a better player then TJ but he is going to cost a lot more. I like the TJ/Leon combo with TJ being the tough runner and Leon being the game breaker.

I voted maybe just because LT is younger then TJ and he is a great back even though he is on the decline.

Shaun Alexander was an elite RB? I thought he was a shmuck with a great OLine who couldn't produce when he lost his two best blockers. Heh. It's got to be something in the water I'm drinking. I must be waaaay off.

Well he only lost 1 of those elite OL not both. And if you wanna get technical how many elite RB's don't have a great OL? Other than Barry Sanders I don't you'll find too many.He was also pretty dam good before Jones and Hutch became the best left side in football.

People, for the future, please note that it is not required on this board that we start a poll for EVERY recently released or soon-to-be released player in the NFL, asking if that player would be a good addition to the Jets. Trust me on this one.
