Favre. One has class and the other doesn't know how to spell it. Both are making critical career decisions. One decides quickly and doesn't leave his team hanging. The other says maybe in a few months I'll know. But we're talking one of the classiest guys in the NFL versus one of it's most selfish, so I guess that's to be expected.
So I guess you folks are just content to sit on your ass and wait for Lord Favre to decide if he's going to grace the team with another crappy performance? I'm not. Management should dump this guy now. And, if you don't understand the point of the post, there's no point of me even trying to explain its meaning.
so...what? Bitching about something that we knew about in advance is going to change anything. This was part of the Lord Favre package deal...the offseason circus sideshow...this was to be expected. Time to take your head out of your bum, LTJF.
It would be classless to simply dump Brett Favre after his storied career. That would be a terrible PR move. Let Favre choose to retire. If not, cut him as late as possible. It would be a mistake to just cast him aside like he's trash, even if that is what he played like.
you prepare like hes not coming back and if he does, he can compete with whoever you brought in for a spot, no special treatment, he hasnt proven ANYTHING on this team
Yeah, not like he's someone who played his heart out for the team and gutted it out through injuries and was a class act for years. Mark my word, Favre will play the Jets for all their worth and you'll come back wanting his head.
That's what the Packers did this summer and that's how the whole Favre drama started and he came to us. I really doubt Favre would accept that happening again unless he is that desperate for attention and the team certainly wouldn't.
I want Favre gone just like you. But when the Jets traded for Favre this is what they signed up for. Now they have to deal with it. I'd let him make his decision on what he wants to do before I decide what our plans are for him if I were Mr. T. If he doesnt want to retire then I would either cut or trade him and if he does retire then ok all ends well I guess. I would it least let him make his decision first though.
I have no problem with Favre making the decision first as long as he doesn't take more than a few weeks, and that the Jets still do what's right for the club regardless of what Favre wants.
And an even bigger difference is that Dungy can still be a successful coach and was able to make a decision, while Favre is a washed up QB and can't.
You make it sound like the jets and farve care what you thing. The only thing you will do is complain because thats all you can do
