I've been a Jets fan since about '80 when I was 5 years old. Over the years I've only had the chance to go to games occassionally - once every other season or two - so I haven't been to all that many, but the Jets have lost every single game that I've ever been to. I've watched painful losses to the Raiders, the Pats a couple of times, the Colts a couple of times (back when they were division rivals), the Eagles, etc... maybe a dozen games or so. I'm starting to feel like I'm a bad luck charm or something. This year I had a chance to get tickets for the last game of the season vs. Chad and the Fins. I had a bad feeling about it so I turned them down. Phew! Glad I missed adding that one to the list. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else out there has a similar streak going. Maybe I just need to go to more games and better my odds, but what the hell...
I'm 4-0 going to games. Perhaps we should be at the game at the same time and see who's powers are stronger. I challenge you sir
I'm hit and miss. 1-0 in 2002. (GB clincher) 2-0 in 2003. I can't remember what I went to in 2004. Maybe 0-1. 0-3 in 2005. 1-0 in 2006. 3-0 in 2007. (what?!) 0-3 in 2008. I went to some games from the mid-90s through 2001 but I don't remember them well.
3-6 preseason 3-2 regular season all games at Giants Stadium except for the preseason win in Philadelphia in 2008 first game was 1986 preseason game vs. Giants
0-1 preseason (this year, vs. Washington) Jets won against Pittsburgh in the snow [forget year] Won against Cincinatti on a game winning two point conversion from Anthony Becht. Won against Houston a couple years back Jets lost against Cleveland last year Lost against New Orleans a few years back
Then you sir should be banned from ever entering the stadium. Do us all a favor and shop for a nice HDTV to watch the games on.
I'm 0-5 since our last home playoff win against Indy. My first game was the clincher versus Green Bay and then I went to the Colts game right afterwards. Two of the best Jets games ever. I want to know what it's like to walk out of the stadium a winner again!!
So far the only game I've been able to go to was the preseason game vs the Vikings in 2007, which was unforunately the Jets only loss of the pre-season. So I'm 0-1 basically. Definitely hope to go to another game (regular season and playoff hint hint especially)
Living next to Green Bay, I can only go go Packer games. I've been to roughly 5 or 6 games in my life and the packers won every single one with the exception of one which was sweet, but the one game I wanted them to lose they lost. Why did I want them to lose? They were playing my new york jets So I'm basically still undefeated going to games. I'm sure that streak will end one day though. I try to pick competitive games where I'm confident my team will win.
i meant that our powers combined would offset since i'm undefeated and you always lose. the 4-0 was the WL not 4 for 0.... I should have said i'm perfect when seeing games live, my bad. Badger is right either way. Perhaps a black hole would form.
well im 2-0. But those are two games from Buffalo. including the 02' opener where Morton returned the kickoff in OT for a touchdown. He was running right towards me it was rediculously sweet.
Since the NYJs have a under 500 records since there inception as the NYTs means all attendees to the games have seen more losing games then winning games
I feel your pain. I am also a fan of Newcastle United and Englad football teams so you can imagine how my sporting fandom has been one long catalogue of fail. No team I support has ever won anything that I have been alive to see
