first roflberger was on top, then eli, now Rivers. I can't project their careers, but I would put Rivers ahead of the other two in terms of how good he is now. wow, berger punted that and it barely sneaked into the end zone
However, after that draft people were praising the Steelers on how brilliant they were. Roethlisberger had early success. What people didn't talk about is that the Giants made the decision for them by orchestrating the Eli trade by drafting Rivers. It became clear in the aftermath that Pittsburgh had Rivers rated ahead of Roethlisberger. Had Rivers fallen (had the Giants and Chargers not done the Eli trade, basically), he would be the guy in Pittsburgh/ What's odd about the draft is that none of the first three QBs are busts.
