    All,

Anyone heard anything as to who would be the OC and DC under either Spags or Ryan?

Sometime connections are known - like Mangini with Rob Ryan and Brian Daboll.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Pretty safe to assume Giants or Ravens' assistants would come aboard. Maybe some Eagles guys because I believe Spagnuolo worked in Philly for a while. Not too sure who else Ryan is connected with... It'd be in our best interest to retain Westhoff.

I would retain Callahan (did very well with the run game) and Westhoff. Schotty (6 combined touches for Leon in the seawawks and bills games made Schotty dead to me)and the whole D staff need to go.

Either way, I think the smart move is to hire Herm as defensive coordinator.

Herm can't draw up plays - so I hope you are joking

I'm 99% sure he's joking. I am 100% hoping that he is joking.

It's a reference to one of the worst threads this forum has ever seen. Anyway, I think this is actually a great question. I don't have an answer but I hope someone does because this is the type of thread that is actually informative.

Anyone who would reinstitute the "cover-who" would be fine with me...

I made a thread a little bit again asking if the Secondary coaches Chuck Pagano and Mark Carrier come with Rex Ryan. I hope they do, they played an integral role in Ed Reed getting to the only unanimous All-Pro nomination.

I agree - they do a great job of getting Ed Reed in the proper places. Those would be excellent hires. I like Butler from the Steelers - LB coach. I don't see LeBeau leaving any time soon, so this could be a good promotion for him.

I'd love to bring in someone from the Steelers. They learn from the best (LeBeau) over there.

I have a feeling Schotty would stay on as OC, which is a good thing. I really think he was held down by Mangini's conservativeness, and can shine if given the opportunity to make his own calls.
