The Jets desperately need someone who can rush the passer and that should be the objective in the first round again.

That's a fact and would be one of the very few major changes I could see the D needing !!!

I voted Ryan, Clemens, Ratliff and other for QB. The other being a first round pick if Stafford somehow fallsl in our Laps.

I think bringing Favre back into this locker room after the comments of several in the offseason could be big trouble. If Vets Like Jones nad Rhodes have things to say about him, he is probly not as close to the team as we have been led to belive by the media. I've always love Favre as a player, but this may not be the right situation for him at his point.

I'm going with Ryan for HC if for no other reason, he'll bring a solid defense with him and he has a visible presence that involves more than gumchewing.

I'm also going with Ratliff for Qb because I think we missed the boat by not drafting any of the blue chip QB that have been available since '06 AND the kid seemed to be able to make a play even if it was against 2nd stringers. I haven't seen anything out of Clemens to say he'll be anything more than a #2 and I don't like his size. I think Clemens is too short to play behind our OLine.

I wouldn't change more just yet with the team besides adding a true #1 WR and modifying the game systems on both sides of the ball.

It all starts with the new HC and his Coordinators and what system they want to install.

Please God we've suffered enough. Have a little mercy on Jet Fans and don't let TanWoody screw this up...

I voted on trying to keep Brett with the Jets.

Unlike "some" I am a believer that it "usually takes more than 6 bloody months to turn a team around into a SB contender" and we are well on our way now if we keep the majority of the starters in place !!!

This team needs more changes than a new head coach and kicking Bryan Thomas to the curb.

I dont know who would be the best head coach for us in 09. I hope Woody can figure that out. But whoever that man is, he better fire up this team.
Someone needs to encourage our players that they can become champions. We need an attitude turn-around on the entire roster. We should draft defensive lineman in the first round. In the NFL games are won in the trenches.
We need new schemes and new mentality. If our mindset doesn't change it doesn't matter who is coaching or what additions we make to the roster.
