Granted this is a rumor on a rumor because Mangini still hasn't been hired. Callahan did a good job on the o-line though. He can grab Sutton any day

Who is to say the new HC would want to keep him anyway? He did a good job with the run blocking the not that good with the pass.

The greatest gift Mangini could give would be to take every last muthafuckin one of 'em.

I disagree. Callahan added solid coaching to an OLine in need. Callahan should receive at least some credit for T. Jones' success. I think any incoming head coach (including R. Grimm) should consider keeping Callahan -- unless the man becomes a distraction.

You can take Sutton with you! Thats for sure...

And yes, Bill Callahan did a great job this season.

I'd like to see him stay also. He's a good positional coach, under contract and I don't think would be loyal enough to Mangini to not work for the team.

I hope not...Callahan is a good offensive mind all around and did guide a team to a Super Bowl his first season as a HC (got a raw deal the 2nd year, those Raiders got very old very fast)

I hope he stays, but can't say I'd be heartbroken if he left.

I'd take Callahan as the OC. He's a smart football mind; did a great job with the oline and run game this year and no one can deny that. F*ck off Mangini.

This is probably going to be like when Mangini was hired and as much we hated Donnie Henderson had to leave so it will probably be the same with Callahan unfortunaely.

Doubt it. Henderson was exiled because EM was installing a 3-4... Some coaches who knew a thing or two about the 3-4 were kept (LOL Sutton). Callahan could be retained to have some continuity on the offense. I'd rather Mangini take Schottendoucher from us than Callahan. Man I can't stand that POS Schott Jr...

They can have him for a first and 4th rounder in '09.

    Thank you.

Callahan was probably a solid addition, but so was adding 2 veteran road graders.

I care! Callahan stays. He should be the OC. He was brilliant in OAK as the OC and he knows the system here so it would not change much. I would be so pleased if Mangini took Sutton and Shotty, but he won't becasue he knows they both suck.

Not to mention improved play from Mangold and Ferguson and leadblocking FB Tony Richardson
