how billick is not at the top tier is beyond me... how he is not getting more attention as a top candidate is also beyond me...
You know, it'd be nice if they had a minority candidate in the list of candidates they're interested in, as opposed to just interviewing one token minority candidate at the last minute. Surely there's at least one promising minority coach out there?
I actually think the rule serves its purpose. You never know if before the rule was instituded guys like Mike Tomlin would've been interviewed by the Steelers and given the oppurtunity to blow away managment on his interview like Tomlin did.
I agree. He knows his shit. He says things I dont agree with but he is a very good radio host IMO. As for the HC. Rex Ryan would be my first choice. I keep swaying back and fourth between him and Spags though.
Lezlie Frazier, Raheem Morris, Ron Rivera. I would love to see Frazier get serious consideration for the job. Morris should get a look as DC.
Did you ever hear the interview with the former Nets center Jayson Williams..and he asked francessa if he still ironing his pants on the driveway? I almost crashed my car I was laughing so hard!!
It looks like they finally remembered the Rooney Rule and added Colts DC Ron Meeks to the list. That's good news. When I think of the Colts, I think of defense. Also, we've had good luck with Dungy's assistant before.
Seriously? When you think Colts you think defense? When the Colts are mentioned my first thought is Peyton Manning, second thought is incredible offense, third thought Reggie Wayne/Marvin Harrison, Fourth thought is Dwight Freeney, fifth is how did they win a ring, and 6th is Bob Sanders, somewhere around 30 is their defense is ok-ish.
The Colts D was top 3 last year and #11 this year. Injuries and personnel changes most likely caused the drop.
