From Michael Lombardi of the NFP: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/01/notes-from-lombardi-2/ and... Too bad we don't face them this year...
Oh, rubbish! Mangini is a horrible coach and a stinking rat to boot... his NFL career is supposed to be over now that he's been fired. He'll never coach again!! :breakdance:
There's an easy way to find out for sure. Start checking cell phone records for Jets and Patriots assistant coaches.
No surprise, it was his to lose they said. Oh, WAIT..this is just a rumor. I should have read the link first. Why post a rumor as a fact?
i dont want to get into any argument with you, but do you feel its your job to defend everyone the jets get rid of?
Yeah but Mangini tried to lure him last season. Perhaps he can sneak him out of the Oakland shithole while Al Davis is busy being in and out of the hospital
I don't know about that. Belichick went Browns=>Jets=>Patriots and got smarter along the way. Where does Mangini get off thinking he can do it Patriots=>Jets=>Browns? The arrogance. It doesn't work that way. He'll wind up stoopidier than a day-old doughnut, you mark my words. PatriotsJetsBrowns, HAH! It'll never work.
The Cleveland Browns last hired a competent coach, one who would take them to the playoffs more than once and not collapse before he exited, in 1984. that was Marty Schottenheimer. Since then they have either trained coaches for other teams (Belichik) or taken guys with no proven experience and spit them out a few years down the road. I'm not sure which category Mangini fits in but I think he's very unlikely to succeed in Cleveland at this point. He's got Crennel's leavings for his 3-4 defense and a built-in QB controversy on the other side of the field. I wish him luck with that. It should be amusing to watch.
