Football isnt about luck its about athletes and professionals playing the game they are paid for. Its about coaches providing the proper game plan for each game. Its about owners providing what the team and its fans need to try and be succesful.
gee..thanks for the info on that 5180. Did you read that on the side of a cereal box? if you read the snippet in the OP....Jagodzinkski has direct ties to Brett Favre...if you don't think this interview is a direct correlation with our QB, then maybe you should stick to swashbuckling.
Multiple interviews are part of the hiring process in any job position. In the NFL the knowledge and expertese each individual coaching candidate has varies depending his experiences and knowledge of the game. Each candidate is unique in his own special way. This hiring process wont be an easy one and im sure Woody and Tanne dont want to leave any stone unturned. When you finally overcome your issues and have a worthy and knowledgeable comeback please do respond.
Sweet! We can change our name from the Jets to the Bretts, since we seem to be molding this entire organizations staff around Brett Favre. The new stadiums name isn't set in stone right? We can call it Favre stadium.
I tend to agree. While I'm sure the Favre connection plays a role, as a BC alum, I can tell you Jagodzinski is a very good coach in his own right. This year he won his division of the ACC with a team that lost over twenty seniors (including two first rounders) and was picked to finish at the bottom of the conference. Matt Ryan was considered a borderline first day pick when he took over as head coach. After one year with Jagodzinski, he was a top three pick. If he could bring his offensive coordinator, Steve Logan, who also was instrumental in the development of eventual NFL starters Jeff Blake and David Garrard, I'd feel really good about our young and inexperienced QB's even if Favre did retire. Logan has pro experience in NFL Europe. I do hope Jagodzinski would not institute his zone blocking scheme because Faneca and Woody would probably not be great fits. He also should leave Frank Spaziani, his defensive coordinator back at BC. Spaz is a great college coordinator, but his 4-3 defense is pretty conservative and vanilla, and he doesn't make great adjustments on the fly. He wouldn't be my first choice, but I think this could be the exception the rule in terms of college coaches. He's really an NFL guy who just so happens to have moved to college for a couple of years.
Multiple interviews of no names. Get some perspectives on who your hiring and how knowledgeable he is over other candidates. See whats out there and available. Possibly looking to find a diamond in the rough. Are you employed Favrenstein...
I'm so tired of this garbage. Why do we have to get someone to suit Brett. Brett sucked this year. He had one great game. Just cut his ass.
It's funny. Just the other day I was thinking about what a great coach this guy is. When BC joined the ACC, I thought that they were going to get totally embarrassed by teams like Florida State, Miami, Va. Tech, etc. but they have not only been competitive, they have been a top tier program and one of the conference's elite teams. I have no idea whether he's capable of making the jump to be an NFL HC but I've been extremely impressed by him as a College coach. I think we could do worse.
I get the feeling that you're the type of guy who doesn't let his kid eat if he doesn't play well in Pop Warner games.
