I disagree with this 100%. I won "Most knowledgeable poster" last year, and actually got crap about it from a couple of posters shortly afterwards. That would have no doubt continued all year every time someone disagreed with something I said if I had been forced to have that displayed. It's also completely unreasonable for someone to be expected to carry around some negative "honor" all year like it's a scarlet letter.
Here is the update from my talk with MM. Every poster that wins an award WILL have their award plastered under their name. It is up to them to contact him and have it removed if they wish to.
Most annoying poster - should get an annoying title like "Shit Valve", they spew shit and no one wants to read their post.
Sci these awards should be football or TGG themed in wording "Friendliest Poster" is cute but it's tired.
I don't know if this would overlap Meanest Poster too much, but maybe something to work with the trove of quality shit we have in the trashtalk forum. Either best argument, or best instance of trashtalk, or something along those lines.
Agreed...just like in the real world, accolades carry their own set of responsibilities. Something from a Spiderman movie comes to mind... In order to ease the burden, I like M4P's suggestion of something a little more clever and football-based for each award, like most knowledgeable=Parcells Award or some such.
The most knowledgeable poster award should be named after Green guy..or maybe another award. if we are going to honor nightowl Tom, a Green guy honor should be considered.
Before I forget, how about most underrated poster for the poster who flew under the radar and did a great job in 2008 and overrated poster for the guy who thinks too much of himself but didn't actually do anything in '08.
