so that's what the big dark spot is on the mic. It drives me nuts how he readjusts the microphone every few seconds. Leave it the f*ck alone. he is an arrogant ass but i do watch because you get more in depth conversation than espn. Faneca and Favre shouldn't have made the list but we all know its a popularity contest and more about last season's performance.
Well, I'm not sure Revis didn't have a better year last year then he did this year. Maybe that is what he is saying.
I like Mike and love listening to his show. But as far as the Revis not deserving to be in the Pro Bowl he is just dead wrong.
Not at all once you understand the pro bowl has no basis in reality at all. It's nothing more than a popularity contest and once you make it the first time you keep making it year after year usually.
I know how it works. Sadly, baseball is the same. It is a joke though. I know they want the fans to have there input heard. But, this should really be left up to the players and coaches. That being said, the sports writers should stay out of it as well. I can't remember the last time I watched a Pro Bowl anyways.
I would like to line Mike Francesca up with a blindfolded Revis and see if he can catch a pass. I hate that guy with a passion. He really demeans the callers too. Boomer and Carton despise him.
And here I was thinking Francessa was improving on his football talk. Revis was a shut down corner all year long. I can't remember one receiver that got the best of him in 2008. I think he should warrant All Pro considerations based on the season he had this year.
In my book (please don't ask for a copy for I'm not sure when it will be published nor do I even know the contents of it), I rank the top two as Asomugha and Finnegan and whoever is 3rd is not close to either of them.
Gotta have Champ Bailey over Finnegan, Bailey doesnt get to work with a pass rush as strong as TEN.......Heck Bailey probably doesnt get to work with a even good defense. lol But yeah those are my top 3 with Revis in the 4-5 section.
I gotta? Nope. I'm taking Finnegan over Bailey based on what I saw this year. I think the All-Pro voters are going to go with Finnegan over Bailey, too.
Bailey got hurt this year though to be fair.... I'd probably have Revis at 4 and R. Mathis of JAX at 5(Mathis is probably the new most underrated CB since Nmandi gets love now)
What does Francesa know about CB play? I dislike him so much. Arrogant prick. I wish I could go up against Fatso, with myself as WR and him as CB, for an entire game. I'd finish with 1000 Yards receiving and 12 TDs.
Yeah, Mathis is good. Antoine Winfield is also up there. Ron Bartell is an up-and-coming guy. I expect him to be a top 10 cornerback in 2009. I believe he will be a free agent this offseason. The Jets would be smart to sign Bartell. Revis and Bartell would be an excellent tandem.
