you would seriously feel sorry for someone over something as minor as that? i feel sorry for you, hah most athletes don't lay on the love unless there is love there in the first place, not all athletes love to complain but it isn't their job to be a PR robot
Didn't an earlier report claim that Favre didn't like Mangini because Mangini would call him out in front of the other players? Didn't that report also claim that Favre would get called into the "principal's office" and get berated by Mangini? But now Favre is getting bashed for having received "special treatment"? Which is it? Please people pay attention to the contradictions.
You heard the owner come out and say you can't believe a word he says. Why would this be any different?
There are contradictions all over the place. Who know's what true. Although Thomas' story was directly from him.
exactly 2 little girls who decided to beotch and whine to the press. There is no reason to tolerate whiners. Did BF get special treatment? certainly, Brett Farvre always get special treatment because he is one of the best football players of his generation. If any of the girls have a problem with that they should take it up with Brett Farvre or with management directly rather than act like pussies and go whining to the media. NEWSFLASH: Star Players Get Special Treatment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't like it - then stop cashing your $4M yearly paychecks and come see what its like to actually have to work for a living. I have no patience for these millionaires who want to bitch and moan and cry to the media because they don't get treated the way the real superstars do. SYFM, carry the ball, get a TD and don't FW about the other players. This isn't High School - this is a Freaking Business and guess what bozo??? You don't own the business - you are a freaking employee who can be replaced ASAP. Don't like it? Fine - quit. Pissed off that others get special treatment? Tough Shit - welcome the the work world moron.
L-C Spoke At Length On Camera -- and that's NOT what he said L-C talked about his relationship with Brett during the season in a post-Mangini-firing video interview (don't have the link, sorry). But that wasn't what he had to say at all. In fact, he indicated that they got along pretty well during the season. Why wouldn't the No. 1 Wideout and the starting QB get along? I mean it's their job.
This is how I feel too. I mean, with this surfacing and maybe even more to come, how could Favre return, or even want to return? I hope he makes the right choice and hangs up the cleats for good.
I have a prediction: Kerry Rhodes. Seems surprising I know, but that interview they played on espn earlier in the week seemed like he had a very dubious view of Favre. The jist of it was that he would "like" Favre to return, but only if hes willing to attend all offseason practices and meetings with the team. It seemed like he stopped short of saying anything worse a few times. Plus he would remain anonymous, hes got a good image with more to lose than a guy like Coles who's been shooting off his whole career.
WHO THE HELL CARES WHETHER A PLAYER LIKES ANOTHER PLAYER???? This isn't pop warner football. This is the NFL. These guys are paid to perform, not to like each other. If somebody doesn't like another player -you handle that shit internally, you don't go on Hot 97 and air your dirty laundry. Players have not liked each other and have had had clubhouse disputes for as long as there has been orgnanized pro football. Read Gifford's book on the '58 Giants - the defense and the offense ficking hated each other. Gifford was resented as a prima donna. WTF does that matter? You do your job or you don't do your job. TJ didn't do his job. He got 23 freaking yds against the dolphins. F him for calling out Brett Farvre on Hot 97. TJ talks as if he has the authority of a Jim Brown. TJ couldn't hold Jim Brown's Jock. He should be grateful for BF because before BF got to NY TJ sucked.
Quote: "...TJ didn't do his job. He got 23 freaking yds against the dolphins...." I would say that T-J can only run through holes created for him. We should also remember that T-J was voted Most Valuable Player by his team mates of their own free will. They didn't select Brett Favre. What he has to say therefore carries some weight on that team. By the way, check out the full interview and you'll find that his tone was being real with a team mate he actually reveres and wants to come back. This cliche about "throwing somebody under the bus" doesn't really apply to T-J's actual words at all.
Exactly! The quarterback of any team is held to a higher standard, has more to learn, more to know. Generally they get most of the praise, and take most of the heat. Now take somebody like BF and it's even worse. Not to mention he had a hell of a lot to learn in a short time. Fans and players should be happy knowing he was putting in the time to study and prepare, not bashing him because he wasn't fooling around with the team and going out to dinner with them. This is ridiculous.
They Had that On-Line Program from Nebraska It is called HUDDLE, and the NYJs have an exclusive for this year in the NFL I think. Actually, Brett mentioned using it. You don't have to be in an office to use it. You can use it from any laptop anywhere and it's interactive and much more user-friendly than a memorization book.
Rod Woodson said something about there being rumors back when Favre was in Green Bay regarding that whole him being distant thing. I usually don't trust Woodson.. anyone know if there's any merit to this?
