listening to the interview with Francesa. I like Tanny, but he sounds ridiculous. He just needs to come out and tell fans why they fired Mangini. He is making himself and Woody look unnecessarily bad when he can just come out and tell people why they fired him

And if Favre wants to come back next year, he will be back.......if you listen to Tannenbaum and Woody.

Also says they will have a coach before they get a decision from Favre.

I don' t understand how Sutton hasn't been fired yet. How could they think any Coach - whoever they hire - would want to keep Sutton?

Btw, Tanny just said he thinks the Coach will be hired before Favre makes a decision.

Actually it sounds to me (and we obviously have no inside knowledge) like he is trying to defend something that he possibly he wasn't in favor of.

I don't trust anything they say about their decision-making with things like this. Months ago, all we heard was that they weren't interested in acquiring Favre...

I think its difficult for Tanny, obviously he and Eric have a close relationship. This is like a coworker being fired whom you consider a personal friend. I think we as fans have a pretty good idea is to why he was fired. The media wants every precise detail spoken for.

it sounds like to me, and this is just reading between the lines, they are further along with a coach then we might think....whoever it might be. I have a feeling it will be a young coordinator....My guess Sporano. I doubt it will be an established coach from what Tanny is saying.

Good interview and I missed the start, but if Mike does not ask and then press him on the decision to hand over our starting QB to our division rivals for nothing, its a joke. The worst decision we made in 2008, even worse then Mangini's game day decisions

    We should hire Tony Soprano.

I'm getting this feeling too. It's pure speculation, but I'm hunching that they have someone in mind already.

i think a darkhorse for the job is Steve Mariucci....especially since a decision will be made before Favre makes his.

I think you have a point, but if you made the decision to fire him, give people an idea of why. People don't need to know why, but you can't say how great he was on and off the field then fire him........just cause.

Yeah, it's like they want them to just say it, but he doesn't need to. We all know the reasons why.

I do think he should've been more honest when asked, Did Eric lose the locker room? I think we could see it in his eyes on the sidelines. The fans aren't that stupid.

Oh okay. I like Spagnola. He could be the answer. Reminds me of John Fox.

Tannenbaum literally said nothing. The interview was like dead air.

To me, it's not about insulting the fans; rather, it's about business and not tarnishing someone publicly. They're not gonna give specific reasons and they're sure as hell not gonna respond to questions like that.

Sounds like Mr.T will have his new coach way before he knows what Favre will be doing.

Which also makes me think, they have orders to get the guy Favre wants or he won't be back.
