Another year as a Jets fan, another disappointing end.

Overall, I seem to be a lot less disappointed than most but hopefully everyone's healing process goes well.

I just don't think we're that good, on any level. The pass offense sucks (Favre blew in the last 5 or so games), the pass defense is one of the worst if not the worst in the league, the rush defense has died (probably due to trying to make up for the pass D), T. Jones has disappeared, the special teams even sucks (xtra point, blocked punt). The coaching is unreal - WHY the hell do we line up in shotgun so much with 3rd and 2!

So we didn't make the playoffs, we finished 9-7, after 4-12, its not so bad overall. We took a risk with Favre, it didn't work out, I'll admit it but at least we tried and we don't have a franchise like the Lions or Bengals or Chiefs or Raiders, etc. At least I got to watch meaningful games in December.

But I just don't think we're that good, like we could have done some "damage" if we got in. We suck on a lot of levels and I know the next few weeks will be Favre bashing and blaming the whole season on him. I don't really care, its all opinion. I still don't care we lost Pennington - he's got a great situation in Miami with awesome coaching and a great dynamic offense (the wildcat is for real yo), him being here another year wouldn't have changed our offense - good luck to him. I still think he never wins a SB, but maybe he'll prove me wrong - as much as I bash him he's a good guy and he makes up for a lot of his lack of talent with heart.

I just don't believe having him here fixes the other problems we have but others think he would have made all the difference - its all opinion, no one can be proved wrong, no one can be proved right.

I had a great time on the forum this year, my first. But thank you GG Board for giving me a place to vent and discuss my beloved Jets.

I still love you Jets and when its "that" season, it will be that much sweeter.

Seriously great job on the site. I had a blast all season on it and it def made the paint of losing games easier to cope with.

All the people bailing, go, we don't need you. Franchises have it a lot worse than us. I.e. Lions and Raiders. If there are still Raiders fans and there are still Lions fans, there should be PLENTY of Jets fans.

AND imagine being a Broncos or Bucs or Cowbys or Pats fan today. Ouch.
