Which scenario do you like most?

I don't care how it happens but I just want to see the Jets win the Super BOWL... they could lose there next 3 games and back into the playoffs all I care as long as we win it all.

How can anyone want us to miss the playoffs? I guess these are the same folks that root for us to lose to get a better pick. I will never understand it.

God, this is so different from the 2007 and 2005 questions: "Would you rather see the Jets lose to the Bills/Chiefs and get a higher draft pick, or root for a win?"

I think that's crazy talk, rooting for your team to lose, but I get it, I see the point. This question is "Would you root against the ENTIRE REASON YOU'RE A FRIGGIN SPORTS FAN, TO SEE YOUR TEAM GET A SHOT AT A CHAMPIONSHIP?" Huh?! I just don't get it.

You know what, if Bill Cowher was going to throw for 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns a season for the next ten years and log 15 sacks a season for the next decade, I still wouldn't vote for missing the playoffs!

I mean, it's the PLAYOFFS! The division title, no less! It's the sole goal of the NFL regular season!

^I happen to think there is a huge difference. Right now, we are a winning team with serious post-season aspirations. Any person who doesn't want to see what we can do with that is just not a fan.

On the other hand, when faced with the prospect of going 4-12 and getting VG or going 3-13 and getting McFadden, I'll take 3-13 every time. I mean, how much joy did you get from beating the Chiefs last year. I wasn't very excited at all.

Sometimes you have to make short-term sacrifices to receive long-term gains.

I voted for losing. I want Cowher Power, not Mangini Weenie. Voting for losing now and winning later is no different than supporting Mangini switching the defense from the 4-3 to the 3-4. The idea behind the switch was that it would hurt in the short run and help in the long run. The same idea behind Herm's previous defensive redesign. And don't forget the thinking behind hiring a young, inexperienced coach. The idea was that it would hurt in the beginning, but payoff in the end. So the Jets hire Herm, who had never even been a Coordinator. Then we hire Mangini, who was a crap Coordinator for one year. They were both supposed to learn on the job, a fancy way of saying they were supposed to lose in the beginning and win in the end. Most fans supported the hiring of these two coaches, don't be hypocrites now.

mike keenan. he wouldn't tolerate a soft defense. he would have an enforcer at lb, like mayo.

i think we learned that spending mucho $$$ on free agents but playing cheap-o on the head coach doesn't work well. especially if he has no record of real experience as a coordinator or head coach.

Here's the thing, if we're going to go to the playoffs and make a sb run that's wonderful.

If we're going to go to the playoffs to be 1 and done then what's the point? Standards here seem so low since we're so used to losing.

Unless we're making a sb run this year why settle for a wild card loss if missing the playoffs gets us a new coaching staff who can turn this talented team into a dynasty I can wait 1 more year.

I want this team to win but I have 0 confidense in the oc and dc at this point and manginis inability to correct his coaches mistakes is concerning

I think the only thing stupider than thinking a new coach next year would guarantee a record better than 9-7 or, hopefully, 10-6 (that we'll get tomorrow) is to vote that you'd actually lose a game and miss a likely playoff spot for a chance for that.

Folks, please watch football for a while. And learn the way this stuff works. 10 wins ain't bad, and if we get it, we'll likely get in.... If not, it's an aberration, but 10 wins is pretty fookin' good.

I'd rather see Matt Cassel in a full-body cast.

But I'd settle for the joy of backing into the playoffs tomorrow.
