The Phags are 8-1 in their last 9. The Jets are suck for December. The Phags' QB is playing well, the Jets' QB is not. The Phags have been well-coached. The Jets? not so much. The Phags have momentum and are on a roll. What was the question again? Oh yeah, the Jets will be at home and the temps will be 40 or lower. It'll be a close one, as these games usually are.
actually i think miami could have won 2 more games, 1 we lost with the last play @houston on a sneek by schaub, then there was the jets game in week 1, honesty if your kicker doesnt get hurt, you don“t go for it on 4th down and that lucky floater never happens , go figure
haha - so that was the ONLY area of the game effected by us not having a kicker? We wouldn't have many any FG's or XP's? We would have had better field position? Good call.
True, but every team has a couple games like that go both ways every year, at least most of the time. Same for the Jets, I can point to a couple games we coulda/shoulda won and a couple we coulda/shoulda lost. Last year both our teams lost all those games, but this year, as in most years, it kind of evens out.
Hell, I can think of plenty of reasons the Jets can win, and I am a Phins fan. If you play like you did against Seattle, yeah, you'll lose. But will you? I go back and forth on that, but at bottom I do not expect the Jets to mail it in. I expect a good, close game.
If Farve gets hot, by not trying to with the game on his own, but manage it and gets the ball to Keller, and Jones and Washington start running downhill it could be a long day for us Dolphins fans. I expect a hard fought game where everything will be left out on the field.
I think it will be a tough game because againts the jets it always is and unfortunately they pretty much own the fins, that's the only reason I'm really nervous about and because if we lose there's no other way into the playoffs. But Favre started looking really old really fast. As for the Bills beating the pats, they don't have a prayer, they have lost 10 straight to the pats and the Ravens are not gonna lose to a 5-11 team that has nothing to play for. Jets fans are going to see one of two thing, Chad celebrating in their stadium or Bellichek in the playoffs, either way it sucks
Simple....fins will win...they are playing better ball....the Jets are playing like they can't wait for the season to be over.....witch will be Sunday at 7:00pm
Because in its history, the Jets seem to have a tendency to come through and win a game when most people have ridden them off and expect nothing. Coming into last week I thought that they would win their final two games, which of course was wrong, but I also felt that they had a better chance to lose the Seattle game than the Dolphin game. I think we might somehow pull off a win. I really believe it. Don't ask me why, but I believe this team has some good performances left in them. I'm sure they also have some equally bad ones too, but its time they came out of this slump and if nothing else finish the season on a positive note. Come on.. It's a divisional game in the Meadowlands against the Dolphins.. Anything can happen. Also, sorry to bring this up again, but I read in my paper that the Jets can also clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Ravens loss to Jacksonville. Is this true? I haven't seen/heard much about this scenario. EDIT: I see that as I was posting this, my question was answered already. OK so we might have looked like the worst team in the NFL for the last few weeks, but at least there's still a chance. We all remember 2002 right??
This I agree with, it's our best shot. We were playing much better ball coming into the 2002 finale. The only losses in the second half of the season were to a superior Oakland team and to Chicago on a ridiculous mistake by Wayne Chrebet as we were driving to win the game, both on the road. In week 16 we won decisively at New England on a Sunday night.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong! Our first meeting with the Dolphins was a learning lesson for them. After our game the Dolphin featured the "Wild cat" and then started confusing teams with multiple alignments and got great gains from that confusion ; very similar to what Mangini did in our first season , realizing we weren't that good and needed something to get an advantage against equal and better teams. We can beat Miami because they are one dimensional. they will try and beat us very vanilla like and then sprinkle a little wild cat in to confuse us. I don't think we will be faked out by it and will contain them. This is also a chance for the defense and the pass rush to show up and I think with the playoffs on the line they will. You heard it here ....the Defense will dominate this game and Brett will embarrass the Dolphins defense. My call : Jets 38 - 14
Close. The Phins introduced the Wildcat in the third game at NE, after getting crushed by Arizona in Game 2. The one time the Wildcat was really effective was against NE; after that teams adjusted and took advantage of its main drawback, which is that Ronnie Brown is not much of a passer. I don't want to imply it never worked after that; Cobbs had a 44-yard run out of it just last week. But it hasn't been integral to the offense's success the way Pennington has.
Well, you know, we looked mediocre against the Jets in week 1 and then downright awful in getting crushed by Arizona. Couldn't move the ball, couldn't cover, couldn't do anything. Then we went to NE and beat them by 25 points. In the NFL, things can turn around in a hurry.
Haha, ya'll are a joke. The New York Jets are going to get fucked up by the Dolphins. you're QB is a shaky dinosaur, and the Jet's fans are loud mouth assholes. I live in NY and i hate all of you asshole fans around me. NY deserves to lose. GO PHINS
