After the Arizona game Favre had 12 TD's and 4 intercepts. Since 8 TD's and 15 intercepts. I always knew he made poor decisions but when you see them week after week it's hard to believe. Fact is, if he was anyone other than Brett Favre, he would have been benched. I hope he doesn't come back.

    It doesn't matter!

All his int's are really Hard and thrown really really deep.
If we wanted someone who was accurate and was careful with the football we woulda stuck with noodle arm!

This was the downside of bringing Favre in. He's old. We still got better play out of the QB position than we'd have had otherwise and we beat a couple of teams we probably would not have beat with Favre. If we don't blow out Arizona in the first half we might have run out to 2-8 given what happened after half time and in the subsequent games.

Favre's QBing over the last 6 games reminds me of my dad's driving.
At 83 he still sees the maneuvers he needs to make on the road but his reflexes don't let him execute them.

As I posted in another thread, in 7 horrible games Favre had 13 picks and 4 td's. This is the reason why we aren't going to the playoffs. Not Mangini, Sutton or any other excuse.

Well, while you are right, It is also the coaching staff to do some things to "mask" the QB shortcommings. As well as the other players to pick up their play. Both have not happened.

I like Favre, and supported the "upgrade" to bring him here, but he has straight up sucked the past 4 games!

Right now it's a tight race between his poor performance and Mangini's sackless incompetence leading to the downfall of the NYJ in '08.

Nod goes to the later, when you consider everything (especially the 2 talented RBs that don't get the ball nearly enough when they should!)

Let's start Ratliff. i mean we aren't going to the playoffs and the season is over. Favre ain't coming back so let's see if Ratliff can play well against 1st stringers. Worst case scenario, we lose the game and we know Ratliff is not ready to be a starting QB in the NFL.

At first glance I thought this said "Favre,15 intercepts and STDs. That would be worse for him, not as bad for us.

I still got mine. Pretty much the only one though.
I will agree he has looked horrible the last 4 games. No doubt.
But i'm only laying half the blame on him.
For all this Favre Vs Penny crap, do you really think Chad Pennington would have done better for the Jets this year? This is no knock at Pennington.
Look at Favre last year Vs this year, and then look at Pennington last year Vs this year. Do you notice a reoccuring theme. Penny leaves, and has a terriffic year. Favre had a terriffic year last year (minus the int in the playoffs) and comes here and plays like ass. I don't think any QB in the league would have played much different. You bring Manning, or Manning, or Romo, or Brady, or any of them here next year, and i bet you if the same CS is here they play horrible. I'm not sticking up for Favre and i'll even put this in bold for Junc and Ouchy. Brett Favre played horrible the last four games! Some is his age, some may be his arm, some is his lack of mobility. But i have seen some great throws and plays by Favre. I think alot of it is poor coaching and playcalling.
I'll still rock my avatar because even if he plays bad, he still gives it all he's got and fun to watch (though a little less fun lately) He's a New York Jet. He's the QB of the jets and in turn I support him. And someone earlier said the whole defense played like crap how come we don't bench them. Thanks for a voice of reason. If we benched everyone who has played like crap the last four games everyone including the CS would be sitting on the bench and Jones and Washington would be on the field all alone the whole game.

haha thats a question with an obv answer, YES.

How can any person with a brain think anything different. Not only do you look at the stats, you look at the wins and losses.

Favre has always been a gunslinger, but now hes taking a knife to the fight but hes still acting like hes got an AK-47

The Jets have a WAYY better cast of players than the Dolphins do, the only place i give the edge to the dolphins is maybe the secondary and lb the jets have way better recivers 2 probowl runningbacks. I'm sorry if you cant get it done with that, you should hang them up
