I heard on the fan this morning that the Jets players have Christmas off because they already did their preparation for Miami last week (as in before the Seahawks game). If this is true all I can say is wow. This is beyond irresponsible. I'm running out now so I can't hover about in this thread. If it's already been posted or discussed, I'm sorry. But I heard this and it was just to baffling not to post.

Clearly this has to be true considering fans who call in to radio stations have inside sources that gives them information no one in the NY media heard about.

It was said in his press conference, I just realized I should have clarified that.

I wonder how much Woody thinks he needs to decide to get rid of Mangini.

He's trying something new, do you want them to prepare the same way they have the last 4 weeks? I like that they are at least trying a new approach.

How do you know they hadn't been preparing for the following weeks team instead of this weeks team for the past 4 weeks? That may be the problem?

Off on Christmas? With no work?

The 25th of December is a poor excuse to pick a man's pocket.

Honestly, fuck you people. I wouldn't ask anyone to goto practice/work on Xmas. That's ridiculous. There's a reason there are no games on the 25th this year.

They usually have off Tuesdays and usally Mangini doesnt have a PC on Tuesdays. So this week, the Tuesday is Thursday, no biggie. Chill people.

The problem nyjunc is that there are many ways to be successful and many ways to be unsuccessful. IMHO it's not necessarily "how" you prepare it's what you prepare to do. Spending time worrying about whether practices should be 1:45, 2:00, or 2:15 or preparing for the Dolphins (if true) instead of worrying about taking advantage of an inexperienced Seahawks OL vs. fixing the stuff that has been consistently wrong (lack of consistent pressure, run / pass selection, etc.)

I don't really see this as all that big. One day of preparation lost and added on to a seemingly forgotten preparation session. </sarcasm>

But really, how much of a game breaker do you really think this is?

What's "rediculous" is your grasp of spelling. You need to "practise" your grammar.

I guess if this is true the Mangini knows the jig is up & is thinking more of what he will be doing with his 4M home then the NYJs
