The Jets will beat the Dolphins to finish (10-6). Mangini was not fired after going (4-12) and the 6 game improvement will be enough to keep him around. Atleast Woody Johnson will think so. Sutton and Schottenheimer are as good as gone though.
This is the Jets though. It makes sense to fire Mangini and get a coach that knows what he is doing. Thus the Jets franchise will keep him around.

After all the acquisitions we made in the offseason? Hell, this team could have gone 10-6 with NO head coach. He's the mesh that keeps everything together. You can't hold this kickass practice sessions and get outcoached consistantly during games. All fish spoil from the head first.

Jets are a superbowl team with Cowher guaranteed!!!! We have all the talent in the world on this team but our coaching is the 1st in the league. Only guy I like is Westhoff.
If the Jets had a QB... say Cassel-- they'd by far be the most attractive coaching job available (talent- wise)-- coaching in New York as a second class citizen is another story... But the upside is much greater is you can win.. The Mangini experiment is over. It has to be. He's been outcoached the past 4 weeks to the point of embarrassment... At 8-3 this team was a lock to make the playoffs......Unless they get a miracle next week to avoid this epic collapse, then nobody on the coaching staff deserves to be around next season
