Imagine if the Falcons picked someone else.......... there would be no Browning Nagle stories to share, along with the dozen of other losers that followed
I still don't like Farve. I am happy he has taken better care of the ball of late. I know he will burn us with a big INT somewhere down the line.
I think it depends on how long you've been a fan and what you've seen so far in your life. For me the 80s teams gave me hope of winning it all, and the 98 team with Vinny and Parcells broke all the remaining barriers, even though they didn't finish the job. It's not like I was satisfied they got as far as they did, that was the first time as a jet fan I felt that way. Even in 1982-83 we were kind of underdogs going in, although we had a powerhouse team.
No Favre Kool-aid for me. I just want him to do his job and go away. His tenure as a Jet QB will be short and hopefully sweet.
Lord Favre has made me a better human being. When I put on his jersey... hot women flock to me without even being inebriated with alcohol I run around and high-five people for little-to-no reason, and they love me for it my right arm is so strong I can throw a cinder block over my house without any effort some reporter asked me what color my shit was yesterday i stuck a dead raccoon in my co-worker's desk and he laughed good-naturedly then I push his car into a ravine and he gave ME a high five All hail Lord Favre.
abyz was applying sarcasm to the love the Favre is getting here. Laugh with us dude, you know i'm on your side in terms of Favre and understanding him, but what he did was funny.
Actually the "hail Lord Brett Favre" is equally old hat, that was my point. I did laugh some the first few times. Anyway, yeah, whatever. Time to get back to work.
I had my doubts but Favre is a straight up winner. Pennington could not have led us down the field those last two times @ NE.
Funny, because Pennington has done this for the dolphin fan base. Some of us had Marino, some of us know what high expectations feel like. Some of us had the upmost faith that no matter the score, we always had a chance. The younger generation of fans haven't had that. Since 2000 I haven't expected much from this team. Not since Marino can I remember watching a Fin game and having so much faith in my team when it counts. When we came out at Halftime on Sunday I was sure we made the necessary adjustments. That last drive I knew Pennington would take us down to score and when K.C got the ball back I knew we'd stop them. That is an unbelievable feeling and one I won't be taking for granted any time soon.
